Cheryl Burke<\/strong><\/a> has Carrie Ann Inaba\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> back as the Dancing With The Stars<\/em> <\/a>judge continues to face backlash for her scoring on the show.<\/p>\n

The former pro, 41, was asked by Variety<\/em><\/a> in an interview published on Friday, October 24 about how she felt about the criticism aimed at Inaba for her judging feedback.<\/p>\n

\u201cI agree that they go hard on her vs. the two men sitting there,\u201d Burke told the outlet, referring to DWTS<\/em> judges Bruno Tonioli<\/strong> and Derek Hough.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Burke continued, \u201cAnd I think that\u2019s always been the case, and she has openly talked about it, how it\u2019s harder for her. I\u2019ve experienced it, but in a different way; I\u2019m outspoken about something vs. somebody who is a man, I do see the difference. But you don\u2019t do it for the outside reaction. At the end of the day, this is her job, and she\u2019s doing her job, and she\u2019s doing it well.\u201d<\/p>\n

The dancer, who appeared on 20 seasons of the dancing competition, will return to DWTS<\/em> as a guest judge<\/a> on the Tuesday, October 28 Halloween episode.<\/p>\n

She opened up to Variety<\/em> about how she will approach judging the stars when it\u2019s her turn to provide feedback.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope to be empowering and encouraging, but of course, I\u2019m going to be constructive. I have 15 seconds to talk! That\u2019s going to be the hardest part for me. Ultimately, I want to help these people,\u201d she told the outlet.<\/p>\n

Burke added, \u201cYes, we\u2019re going to compliment them if they did a great job. But I think for me, I really want to get into the technical aspect of things, regardless of the theme. I\u2019m looking for authenticity between the two people dancing with one another, authenticity to the style of dance that was assigned.\u201d<\/p>\n

For her part, Inaba, 57, has been in the firing line for what some DWTS<\/em> viewers have deemed \u201charsh\u201d scoring and feedback.<\/p>\n

Inaba addressed the criticism<\/a> via a comment on her Instagram page on October 15.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s okay to disagree about what we see. That\u2019s what makes our show great,\u201d she wrote at the time. \u201cYou have a say in the matter. We want you to vote for what you love and believe in. I appreciate your comment and the way you expressed your feelings. \u2764\ufe0f thank you for your passion and your opinion.\u201d<\/p>\n
