Hollywood Arts<\/em>, and the series is heading to a new streaming home. Originally developed at Nickelodeon, the multi-camera sitcom has now been licensed to Netflix, which has ordered a full 26 episodes for its global platform.<\/p>\nHollywood Arts is set to premiere on Netflix in 2026, with a second-window release expected on Nickelodeon and Paramount+ shortly after. Sources say the move to Netflix came following the August completion of the Skydance-Paramount merger, which also saw longtime Nickelodeon chief Brian Robbins<\/strong> exit, along with several other top executives.<\/p>\nFans will be interested to know that Victorious creator Dan Schneider<\/strong>, who parted ways with Nickelodeon in 2018, is not involved in the spinoff. Instead, the show is being led by veteran writers and showrunners Jake Farrow<\/strong> \u2014 a Victorious<\/em> and Sam & Cat<\/em> alum who also voiced Robbie\u2019s puppet Rex Powers \u2014 and Samantha Martin<\/strong> (Henry Danger, The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder<\/em>).<\/p>\nCasting for Hollywood Arts began early this year. Alongside Monet, who also serves as an executive producer, the series features Alyssa Miles<\/strong>,\u00a0Emmy Liu-Wang<\/strong>, Peyton Jackson<\/strong>, Erika Swayze <\/strong>and Martin Kamm<\/strong>. Yvette Nicole Brown<\/strong> is also set to guest star.<\/p>\n\n<\/blockquote>\nWhile it remains unclear whether other original cast members will appear \u2014 notably Victoria Justice<\/strong> or Ariana Grande<\/strong> \u2014 it seems likely that Justice could reprise her role as Tori Vega, Trina\u2019s younger sister, for at least a guest appearance.<\/p>\nThe premise of Hollywood Arts follows Trina Vega as a struggling actress who returns to her former high school, Hollywood Arts, as an unqualified substitute teacher. As she navigates teaching, Trina finds herself clashing with \u2014 and unexpectedly inspiring \u2014 a new generation of ambitious students at Hollywood\u2019s elite performing arts school.<\/p>\n
The show held its first table read on October 14 in Vancouver, Canada, with production now officially underway. Originally a Nickelodeon project, Hollywood Arts will now be produced by Paramount Television Studios, which encompasses the slates of Skydance Television, Showtime\/MTV Entertainment Studios, Awesomeness, and Nickelodeon\u2019s live-action series following the post-merger revival.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
