Kristen Bell<\/strong><\/a> is focusing on the Nobody Wants This<\/em> season 2 press tour amid controversy over her Dax Shepard<\/strong><\/a> anniversary post.<\/p>\n While appearing on the Thursday, October 23 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/em><\/a>, Bell, 45, kept things light and did not mention her marriage or the controversial post throughout the interview.<\/p>\n In the light-hearted segment, Bell spoke about what to expect in the upcoming season of Nobody Wants This<\/em> as well as sharing a sweet anecdote about Fallon from one of the summer trips they shared together with their respective families.<\/p>\n \u201cCan I just say, not only is that a super-fun trip, but you are my favorite guest to see there. And I\u2019ll tell you why. Because you have \u2014 you\u2019re such an inspirational guest. You have a way of eventizing life that hits me in my marrow,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n Bell continued, \u201cLet me just set the scene. We\u2019re all just having dinner. It\u2019s very normal. It\u2019s beautiful. It\u2019s like, by a sweet river. Someone says, \u2018Hey, we\u2019re going to do karaoke later.\u2019 Great. We decide to do karaoke, and literally out of nowhere \u2026 Jimmy knocks on the door. Like, he left, somehow, the dinner party, and shows up in a full Evel Knievel<\/strong> costume.\u201d<\/p>\n Bell made headlines last week when she honored her and Shepard\u2019s anniversary with a photo of the couple hugging, writing, \u201cHappy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me: \u2018I would never kill you. A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point. Even though I\u2019m heavily incentivized to kill you, I never would.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Taking to the comments section, some users questioned the caption.<\/p>\n \u201cDomestic violence isn\u2019t a joke,\u201d one user wrote, while another noted, \u201c1. Congratulations! 2. I know the caption is supposed to be cute, funny, but worldwide a women [sic] is killed every ten minutes by their partner\u2026#stopviolenceagainstwomen.\u201d The official Instagram account for Dateline<\/em> also chimed in<\/a>, writing, \u201cScreenshotted.\u201d<\/p>\n Others, however, didn\u2019t see an issue.<\/p>\n \u201cI was in an abusive marriage for TWENTY THREE YEARS and I love this post. If you don\u2019t want to be triggered, get off the Internet,\u201d one user wrote, while another added, \u201cI was in an abusive relationship and I got out. This post is meant for her husband not to all of us! Why do people have to take it to the next level??? She is talking to her husband but sharing with us. Not everything has a hidden message!\u201d<\/p>\n Bell has since limited her comments<\/a> on Instagram.<\/p>\n Days later, Bell was set to appear on the Today Show<\/em> alongside Nobody Wants This<\/em> costar Justine Lupe<\/strong>, according to the program\u2019s schedule. Bell, however, was absent from the NBC morning show \u2014 with Lupe, 36, instead talking about the series and a prank she pulled on Bell. (Us Weekly<\/em> reached out to Today and Bell\u2019s team for comment.)<\/p>\n \u201cKristen\u2019s obsessed with pranks. She will come to set and she\u2019ll just pull up different pranks on her phone and show them to me. So I knew that that was kind of her love language, was pranking,\u201d Lupe said. \u201cAnd then I also know that Kristen \u2014 if you\u2019ve met her, you know she\u2019s obsessed with biohacking.
