Feeling good about the future! Angie Harrington<\/strong> shared her thoughts on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City<\/em><\/a> season 4 after her \u2014 and Jen Shah<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s \u2014 departures from the show.<\/p>\n \u201cThey know what they\u2019re doing when they cast, so I think they\u2019ll be just fine,\u201d the former Bravo star, 41, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> on Thursday, May 25. \u201cAnd from what I hear, some of the new girls<\/a> are gonna be great as well.\u201d<\/p>\n The fashion blogger admitted that Jen, 49, had that special something that makes reality TV so entertaining. \u201cShe brings the glamour, she brings the drama,\u201d Angie told Us<\/em>. \u201cShe\u2019s hilarious. I don\u2019t think a lot of people know how funny and charismatic she is. And so she\u2019s great television, but I do think that they know what they\u2019re doing in casting and they know how to find big fun personalities \u2014 some a little more delusional than others.\u201d<\/p>\n Bravo hasn\u2019t yet made any casting announcements for season 4, but Jen won\u2019t return after she pleaded guilty<\/a> to conspiracy to commit wire fraud. She was sentenced to 6.5 years<\/a> in prison in January and began her sentence<\/a> the following month. In March, her term was reduced by one year<\/a>.<\/p>\n Angie, for her part, originally appeared as a guest on the first two seasons of RHOSLC<\/em> before joining the cast as a \u201cfriend\u201d in season 3. Earlier this month, however, the real estate agent confirmed that she won\u2019t be returning for season 4 after her son Hart, 4, was diagnosed with autism. (Angie and her husband, Chris Harrington<\/strong>, also share sons Rome, 18, and Cole, 15, and she is the stepmother of Chris\u2019 two children from a previous relationship.)<\/p>\n \u201cIt is a bummer, and I know a lot of people feel the same way \u2014 and I\u2019m sure there\u2019s plenty of people who will be thrilled I\u2019m not coming back,\u201d Angie told Us<\/em> of her exit. \u201cBut Hart is an absolute joy in our home. He is the light of our home. His recent autism diagnosis has brought our family a lot closer, and we\u2019re just working to help him navigate a neurotypical world the best he can.\u201d<\/p>\n Angie still feels like she made the right choice for her family, but she \u201cwrestled with\u201d the decision to leave for months. \u201cIt has given me such a platform in the past to raise awareness for my husband\u2019s son, who is transgender,\u201d she explained. \u201cAnd I really appreciate that platform. That platform is amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n The Utah native went on to say that she felt an \u201cobligation\u201d to be there for her friends Heather Gay<\/strong><\/a> and Meredith Marks<\/strong><\/a> as they filmed the show, but they were \u201cextremely supportive\u201d of her choice. \u201cOf course they were bummed out, but, but they know family comes first<\/a> as women who put their families first,\u201d Angie explained. \u201cWas it hard? Yes. But once I made that decision, it absolutely felt like the right thing.\u201d<\/p>\n Asked whether she\u2019d ever consider returning to RHOSLC<\/em>, Angie said the door isn\u2019t fully closed. \u201cNever say never. It comes with real challenges,\u201d she told Us<\/em>. \u201cObviously, the audience misjudges you and you get beat up, or people love you and think you\u2019re the greatest thing on earth. I try not to let that play into my life because, ultimately, some of these people don\u2019t know me. But at the same time, it is hard when you\u2019re dealing with facing a lot of criticism. \u2026. Right now I just have to focus on my family and get Hart in his programs and his therapy, and once the dust settles, maybe I\u2019ll reconsider if that opportunity arises.\u201d<\/p>\n
