Sombr<\/strong> has had enough.<\/p>\n

After a TikTok user named Megan went viral for criticizing his performance style and calling him \u201cSlender Man,\u201d the 6-foot-7 singer, 20, took to the social media platform<\/a> to clap back at her nearly nine-minute video<\/a> on Sunday, October 19.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought I was chronically online, but it\u2019s just come to my attention that there\u2019s a TikTok drama going around because a 25-year-old attended my concert and was basically complaining that there were too many tweens there, I was making too many brain-rot jokes and she just thought it was a cringe concert,\u201d he began. \u201cAnd also she was body-shaming me, and it\u2019s kind of started a massive body-shaming hate train directed toward me on a lot of videos of me on the internet right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sombr (real name Shane Michael Boose) said he respects \u201cpeople having opinions\u201d but could not wrap his head around Megan telling anyone \u201cover the age of 16\u201d not to \u201cspend your money\u201d on one of his shows.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThere\u2019s no shame in loving your body. Thankfully, more Hollywood stars than ever before are preaching that message, and they won\u2019t let body-shaming comments slide anymore. Lizzo has been vocal about trying to help people accept all body sizes. \u201cI want to normalize my body. And not just be like, \u2018Ooh, look at this cool [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIf you\u2019re 25 years old and you\u2019re going to come to my concert and not expect people younger than you to be there when I, the artist, am five years younger than you, it\u2019s just a skill issue,\u201d he argued.<\/p>\n

Sombr also took a moment to respond to Megan\u2019s complaints about his onstage banter and how he had encouraged attendees to \u201cbark\u201d at him.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou had to have known about my online presence before coming to my concert,\u201d he said. \u201cI mean, anyone who knows me knows I\u2019ve never uttered a serious word in my life. And also, I make jokes for five minutes of the concert, and the rest is music.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sombr concluded his self-described \u201crant\u201d by urging the TikToker to \u201clive a little\u201d and \u201cenjoy life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Doja Cat kicked off the evening with a performance of her song \u201cJealous Type,\u201d while Lady Gaga was declared the winner of the coveted Artist of the Year award. Sombr rose to fame earlier this year after his songs \u201cBack to Friends\u201d and \u201cUndressed\u201d became popular on TikTok and ultimately achieved international success. He released his critically acclaimed debut album, I Barely Know Her<\/em>, in August.<\/p>\n

The following month, Sombr won his first-ever MTV Video Music Award<\/a> for \u201cBack to Friends\u201d in the Alternative category. He was also nominated for Best New Artist and Song of the Summer for his latest hit, \u201c12 to 12.\u201d<\/p>\n
