She got suspended from The View as a result.<span class=\"image-caption-credit\"> (ABC)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Back in the day, viewers did take great pleasure in seeing Simon Cowell tear a contestant apart.<\/p>\n<p>But we\u2019re pretty sure judgment existed in society long before American Idol premiered.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I was watching it, ABC didn\u2019t have it,\u201d Goldberg went on to say in an attempt to defend her network. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey have it now, it\u2019s a different show. It\u2019s a very different show. The judges are different. It changed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cABC knows that I feel like this. I\u2019ve told them.
