Rider Strong<\/b> is celebrating over a decade of love and family.<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>Boy Meets World<\/span><\/i> alum marked his wedding anniversary with wife <\/span>Alexandra Barreto<\/b> by sharing a heartfelt (and humorous) Instagram post about how far they\u2019ve come.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWhen you\u2019re young and in love, you build a fire on the beach and wait for the stars. Twelve years later, you build the same fire \u2014 and debate how many hot dogs your kid can eat. Happy anniversary @barretoalex,\u201d he wrote alongside <\/span>sweet photos<\/span><\/a> of their family.<\/span><\/p>\n Strong and Barreto tied the knot in 2013 after several years of dating. Looking back on the romantic proposal, Strong told <\/span>Us Weekly<\/span><\/i> that he popped the question in Northern California, where he grew up.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201c<\/span>I took her for a walk<\/span><\/a> under the redwoods on the property where I grew up,\u201d he recalled. \u201cIt was pouring rain, but it didn\u2019t look like it was going to stop anytime soon, so I just decided to go for it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The actor even handcrafted the engagement ring himself. \u201cI spent weeks making the ring in secret,\u201d Strong said to the publication.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI found an old-school jeweler who works out of his basement in Echo Park and asked him to teach me how to do a lost wax casting.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n With help from his brother, <\/span>Shiloh Strong<\/b>, the actor designed the ring in white gold and placed it in a custom wooden box made by his father \u2014 the same man who made his mother\u2019s wedding ring. \u201cI was following in his footsteps,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n The couple said \u201cI do\u201d on October 20, 2013, in Oregon. Right before the wedding, Strong spoke to <\/span>E! News<\/span><\/i><\/a> about his bride and even spilled some details about the event.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m incredibly lucky to be getting married to my best friend and partner in crime,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019re tying the knot at a summer camp in Oregon\u2026 It\u2019s going to be a camp-themed weekend with everyone sleeping in bunks, a ropes course, games, a talent show \u2014 let\u2019s hope it doesn\u2019t rain too much.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Now, years later, Strong and Barreto are still going strong \u2014 with their son and family life front and center in their love story. The couple shares one child together, son Indigo \u201cIndy\u201d Barreto Strong, who was born in December 2014.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
