Kaitlin Olson<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s High Potential<\/em> character, Morgan, has found herself another love interest in All My Children<\/em>\u2018s Aiden Turner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In the trailer for the midseason finale<\/a>, which airs on Tuesday, October 28, Turner, 48, makes his debut<\/a> as Rhys. His official character breakdown describes Rhys as \u201ca quick-witted, well-tailored art recovery specialist with the tenacity of a prosecutor and the instincts of a seasoned detective. Equal parts cultured and street savvy, Rhys navigates the murky world of stolen masterpieces.\u201d<\/p>\n

Morgan and Rhys appear to form a connection, which ultimately ends with them seemingly hooking up while working a case involving a heist. This new connection might come as a surprise to fans rooting for Morgan to find love with her work partner Karadec (Daniel Sunjata<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

The police procedural, which premiered in September 2024, follows a high-potential intellectual \u2014 Morgan \u2014 who teams up with the LAPD to help solve murders. She gets paired up with Karadec, who is initially skeptical about Morgan\u2019s involvement with the Major Crimes unit but ultimately starts to rely on her.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tABC The High Potential season 1 finale gave viewers some answers about Roman\u2019s disappearance \u2014 and left Us with even more questions. During the season\u2019s conclusion, which aired on Tuesday, February 11, High Potential confirmed that Morgan\u2019s (Kaitlin Olson) ex Roman was still alive after going missing for more than a decade. Morgan didn\u2019t have [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Despite their obvious onscreen chemistry, the cast has played coy<\/a> about the chances of Morgan and Karadec\u2019s connection becoming romantic.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will definitely say that I actually don\u2019t have the actual ultimate answer to where they\u2019re going to go. In terms of the will-they-won\u2019t-they between Karadec and Morgan, that is up to our writers\u2019 room,\u201d Sunjata, 53, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> in November 2024. \u201cI think that they\u2019re going to play the long game with that particular story line.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sunjata noted that he for sure sees<\/a> some sort of connection brewing. \u201cI would say that there\u2019s definitely some electricity between the two of them. There\u2019s a reluctant mutual attraction that\u2019s happening,\u201d he added. \u201cBut I don\u2019t think we should expect to see anything crazy about that happening anytime soon.\u201d<\/p>\n

In terms of the show\u2019s writers, showrunner Todd Harthan<\/strong> didn\u2019t rule out a possible romance in the future.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou never know. I don\u2019t let my guard down about those things either. I don\u2019t get overly confident until your audience dictates a lot of the things you do. What do they have a big appetite for?\u201d he shared with Us. \u201cI might be infamous for slow planning things, but I love a slow burn. Like, selfishly I just love it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harthan continued: \u201cWe\u2019re going to write that for a while. Even if you at some point fall in love with somebody, maybe you also are more in love with the partnership and the friendship. And maybe you are scared enough of the risk of crossing certain lines,\u201d he hinted. \u201cTo me, it\u2019s so fun to play in that space before you cross certain lines. There\u2019s a lot of life in this show and I want to make sure we do it at a pace that doesn\u2019t leave a good story on the table.\u201d<\/p>\n
