Jordan Mailata<\/strong>, offensive tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles, may be known mainly as a football pro, but he\u2019s actually a man of many talents.<\/p>\n He reminded fans of this when he hit the stage at a local bar in Newtown, Pennsylvania in April of 2024 to perform a handful of songs, including \u201cValerie\u201d by Amy Winehouse<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Video footage of the impromptu performance took off online at the time, and has now been making the rounds once again.<\/p>\n On October 19, 2025 Sports Illustrated<\/em> posted one of the 2024 video clips of Mailata singing his heart out at the bar to their Instagram account.<\/p>\n Fans filled the comments with praise for Mailata and his shockingly good singing ability.<\/p>\n \u201cDude plays professional football in his spare time,\u201d one fan commented on the post<\/a>, joking he should be a singer as his main career.<\/p>\n \u201cIf the Super Bowl doesn\u2019t work out for the Eagles maybe he could do the half time show!\u201d another fan added.<\/p>\n As some Eagles fans may already know, Mailata is actually in a musical group called The Philly Specials<\/a> alongside fellow Eagles Jason Kelce<\/strong> and Lane Johnson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The trio have released Christmas albums in the past and donate the proceeds to various charities as part of their efforts to give back to their communities as professional athletes.<\/p>\n However, Mailata\u2019s history with music runs even deeper than an annual charity side project.<\/p>\n Mailata also competed on Season 7 of The Masked Singer<\/em> back in 2022, where he assumed the fuzzy masked alter-ego Thingamabob<\/a>.<\/p>\n He performed \u201cWanted Dead or Alive\u201d by Bon Jovi<\/strong>, \u201cPerfect\u201d by Ed Sheeran<\/strong>, and \u201cClassic\u201d by MKTO<\/strong> on the show before being eliminated, leaving him in 12th place that season.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve been singing all my life, I tell everybody that I meet [\u2026] I was a singer first before any sort of athlete,\u201d Mailata revealed to the judges and audience when he was unmasked<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
