Despite going through multiple shocking cast exits, Tracker<\/em><\/a> is dropping hints about expanding the universe with a possible spinoff.<\/p>\n

Before the season 3 premiere on Sunday, October 19, executive producer Elwood Reid<\/strong> spoke exclusively to Us Weekly<\/em> about teasing another show focused on Jensen Ackles<\/a>\u2018<\/strong> character Russell.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just threw [spinoff hints] in there hoping fans do some work. We just threw in a bunch of teases in these two upcoming episodes,\u201d he noted. \u201c[Jensen and Justin Hartley] [are] so much fun together and they complement each other in a weird way.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reid has loved writing scenes<\/a> for the onscreen brothers, adding, \u201cJensen does not do what Justin does and Justin doesn\u2019t do what Jensen does. They\u2019re so interesting together to watch and then they play off each other in such an interesting way.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJustin Hartley\u2018s Tracker has gone through some surprising cast changes, so who is expected to appear in season 3? Tracker, which premiered in February 2024, follows survivalist Colter (Hartley) as he travels the country to help find missing people, track down information on criminal cases and more. As the cases have grown more complex, Colter [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While CBS hasn\u2019t officially picked up a spinoff yet, Tracker is always laying the groundwork.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will always take Jensen whenever he\u2019s available. I text him all the time and ask him about that. Right now, he\u2019s gainfully employed on The Boys spinoff. But you never know,\u201d Reid continued. \u201cI put it in those scripts and I dangle it out there. Hopefully the audience will respond to it and hopefully the network will pay attention to it. But Jensen is someone who I\u2019ve loved writing for for a long time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tracker, which premiered in February 2024, quickly found success because of Hartley\u2019s character Colter \u2014 with a little extra help from familiar faces such as Hartley\u2019s wife, Sofia Pernas<\/strong>, Ackles, Melissa Roxburgh, Jennifer Morrison<\/strong> and more.<\/p>\n

Before Tracker<\/em> returned for season 3<\/a>, Reid defended shaking up the show with Velma (Abby McEnany<\/strong>) and Bobby\u2019s (Eric Graise<\/strong>) surprise departures.<\/p>\n

\u201cJustin has to carry so much of the show. So I don\u2019t want the other characters that are in the show to just be phone-a-friend where whenever he\u2019s in trouble, he just picks up the phone. The challenge in season 3 has been how do we build [an] actual good story out of [it],\u201d Reid teased.<\/p>\n

The hit series, which premiered in February 2024, has viewers tuning in each week to see their favorite fictional survivalist Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley) travel the country to help solve various missing persons [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Reid pointed out that Reenie<\/a> (Fiona Rene<\/strong>) and Randy (Chris Lee<\/strong>) are still in the picture.<\/p>\n
