Booking talent can be very tricky\u2014but thankfully, the team in charge of Turning Point USA\u2019s \u201cAll American Halftime Show\u201d can rest easy. None other than Lara Trump<\/strong><\/a>\u2014wife of Donald Trump<\/strong>\u2019s middle son Eric<\/strong>, Fox News host, and aspiring country singer, apparently\u2014has offered to perform at the event protesting Bad Bunny<\/strong>\u2019s Super Bowl LIX headlining performance. Bad Bunny must be sweating.<\/p>\n During an episode of her podcast The Right View with Lara Trump,<\/em><\/a> the presidential daughter-in-law gave a few suggestions for potential headliners for the \u201cAll American Halftime Show\u201d including country star Chris Stapleton<\/strong> (who wouldn\u2019t reveal<\/a> which candidate had his vote in 2024, saying only \u201cI\u2019m voting for America!\u201d) and MAGA rapper Tom MacDonald<\/strong>. Then Lara-who married Eric in 2014 and shares two children with him\u2014decided to toss her own name in the ring. \u201cYou know what? You can throw Lara Trump in there. Yeah! That\u2019s right,\u201d she said with a laugh.<\/p>\n She may be joking, but a quick run through her discography proves that Lara Trump would indeed be the perfect choice for the \u201cAll American Halftime Show.\u201d For starters, her family is already aligned with the brand founded by the late Charlie Kirk: Donald Trump spoke at the Turning Point USA founder\u2019s memorial service and recently posthumously awarded Kirk the presidential medal of freedom. Performing at Turning Point USA\u2019s Super Bowl counterprogramming would probably give Trump some brownie points with her father-in-law.<\/p>\n Lara Trump also fancies herself something of a performer. She\u2019s released a number of singles\u2014no albums just yet\u2014all available to stream on Spotify. Maybe she could begin her set with a crowd pleaser: her 2023 cover of Tom Petty\u2019s \u201cI Won\u2019t Back Down.\u201d And, hey, if she wants to go unplugged, she can perform her acoustic version, also available on Spotify.<\/p>\n Trump\u2019s original tunes tend to lean patriotic\u2014perfect for an event celebrating faith, football, and American-but-not-Puerto-Rican family values. There\u2019s \u201cAnything is Possible,\u201d a rousing anthem meant to inspire. \u201cDon\u2019t think, just jump \/\/ You can\u2019t give up,\u201d she sings. Lara could also try \u201cColors Don\u2019t Run,\u201d her 2024 single with the Moonshine Bandits, which is about\u2014you guessed it\u2014the American flag. In the middle of \u201cColors Don\u2019t Run,\u201d there\u2019s a spoken-word section in which the Moonshine Bandits attempt to rhyme \u201dBible by my pistol \/\/ Pistol by my whiskey\u201d with \u201cPoliticking just to trick me \/\/ If you want it come and get it.\u201d Bibles, pistols, and whiskey? What could be more MAGA that that?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
