The reality star has made her music debut this week as a featured artist on Fourth Strike, a new single by the pop duo Terror Jr, made up of Lisa Vitale and David Singer-Vine, with the track marking a follow-up to the group\u2019s 2016 debut 3 Strikes, which was used in Kylie\u2019s Kylie Cosmetics lip gloss campaign.<\/p>\n
According to her newly updated IMDb page, Kylie has revived her \u201cKing Kylie\u201d persona \u2013 first introduced in 2014 \u2013 for her music career, launching verified artist accounts on both Spotify and Apple Music under the name.<\/p>\n
Days after her music debut was widely savaged online, Kylie has now said she had wanted to make music since childhood. <\/p>\n
She added in a YouTube question and answer session to promote the record: \u201cYou know this is my dream. I\u2019ve been talking about this since I came out of the womb… that like I wanted to be a pop star.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI just never had the confidence or\u2026 I think turning 28 just does something to you. Like I\u2019m going to be 30 soon and I don\u2019t want to look back on life and have any regrets. And this is something I\u2019ve always wanted to try.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nIn Fourth Strike, Kylie\u2019s vocals appear midway through the track, where she softly sings \u201cKing Kylie\u201d before moving into breathy lines including: \u201cOne strike, two strike, let me get the mood right\u2026 Touch me, baby, tell me I\u2019m your baby\u2026 Cross the line, I might do it again.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nKylie addressed her collaboration in a social media post, referencing long-standing fan speculation that she had secretly sung on 3 Strikes nearly a decade ago.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cThere was a little rumour 10 years ago that I was the one actually singing on 3 Strikes! It wasn\u2019t me (wish it was) so I had the idea to come together for Fourth Strike and it would actually be me featured! @terror.jr thank you for making another perfect song and for trusting me to actually feature on this! I was so nervous but so grateful.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nKylie also thanked songwriter JBACH, Capitol Records A and R vice president Carter Gregory, producer Bart Schoudel and her long-time make-up artist Ariel Tejada \u201cfor supporting me and loving me\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nShe has shared a video of her children, seven-year-old Stormi Webster and three-year-old Aire Webster, singing along to Fourth Strike in the back of her car.<\/p>\n
\nKylie, who is currently dating actor Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet, split from rapper Travis Scott in 2022 after a five-year on-and-off relationship.<\/p>\n
\nThe song\u2019s release coincides with Kylie\u2019s revival of her early social media era, as she posted a series of images and videos under her \u201cKing Kylie\u201d identity, including a follow-up to her Glosses Part II music video promoting Kylie Cosmetics.<\/p>\n
\nKylie will next appear in Aidan Zamiri\u2019s upcoming A24 film The Moment, starring Charli XCX, 32, and also serves as an executive producer and star of the 10-episode seventh season of The Kardashians, which premieres on 23 October on Hulu.<\/p>\n
