\t\t<\/p>\n Tig Notaro<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about why she stopped being friends with Cheryl Hines<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n The 54-year-old comedian and actress had to really step back from their friendship as the 60-year-old actress\u2019 husband Robert F Kennedy Jr<\/strong><\/a> got more into politics, eventually backing Donald Trump<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cCheryl<\/strong> was one of my favorite friends to be ridiculous with,\u201d she said on the Breaking Bread With Tom Papa<\/em> podcast<\/a>. \u201cAnd we made each other laugh so hard.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cCheryl<\/strong>\u2019s married to Bobby Kennedy Jr<\/strong>. When he was announcing his run, I just felt like I needed to step away,\u201d she shared. \u201cBecause there are beliefs that were like a gnat on the arm years ago that were getting further into the spotlight.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cMy friendship with Cheryl<\/strong> predated her marriage to Bobby<\/strong>,\u201d Tig<\/strong> continued. \u201cHe was in environmental law. And again, other beliefs he had were like a gnat on my arm. But then it started to grow, and Cheryl<\/strong> wanted me to hear Bobby<\/strong> out, and they had these good ideas. I was like, \u2018I can\u2019t.\u2019 I just didn\u2019t trust it. And then he endorsed Trump<\/strong>, and then it just got hard.\u201d<\/p>\n Tig<\/strong> and Cheryl<\/strong> used to host a podcast, True Story<\/em>, together where they would talk about documentaries.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was fun to have to watch a documentary every week, but also we took the pressure off, because we would ask each other things like, \u2018Who are you attracted to in this documentary?\u2019\u201d Tig<\/strong> said of that time. <\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s really sad, because it did bring me so much joy,\u201d she added. \u201cAnd Cheryl<\/strong> did bring me so much joy.
