Bette Midler<\/strong><\/a> is continuing to recall precious memories of her time with the late Diane Keaton<\/strong><\/a> in the wake of her death.<\/p>\n

Appearing on the Thursday, October 16 episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen<\/em><\/a>, Midler, 79, was asked about her favorite memory involving Keaton.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy favorite [memory] was of course, First Wives Club<\/a>.<\/em> We had so much fun on that show,\u201d Midler said. \u201cI think that was the most fun I ever had because those two girls [Keaton and costar Goldie Hawn<\/strong>], between them, I was on the floor every single day. I was crying with laughter.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cWe had a wonderful time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBette Midler recounted fond memories with her late First Wives Club costar Diane Keaton after her death. Midler, 79, appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Tuesday, October 14, where she discussed her relationship with Keaton. \u201cShe was such a genius,\u201d Midler began. \u201cThere was something about her that was utterly magical \u2026 [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

News broke on Saturday, October 11 that Keaton had died at age 79.<\/a> While no details were initially released, her family confirmed via a spokesperson on Wednesday, October 15 that Keaton\u2019s cause of death was pneumonia.<\/p>\n

Following the sad news, Midler had nothing but praise for Keaton as she gushed about the actress to host Andy Cohen<\/strong> on Thursday\u2019s WWHL<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI met her a long, long time ago. A girlfriend introduced me to her and I\u2019ve always adored her. She was so unique, so special, so completely who she was and inimitable,\u201d she said. \u201cBecause I used to go home and try and do that style that she had, that kind of like\u2026 you know, giddy [style]. I couldn\u2019t do it. Nobody could do it. And I\u2019ve seen a lot of people come close but nobody has ever done the true\u2026 that true spirit that she [had]. She\u2019s an extraordinary, extraordinary personality.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier in the week, Midler echoed similar sentiments<\/a> during an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colber<\/em>t on Tuesday, October 14.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was such a genius,\u201d Midler said. \u201cThere was something about her that was utterly magical \u2026 she was completely her own person and inimitable. She was so authentically herself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Midler added that she was initially intimidated by Keaton when they first crossed paths.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have a great memory of her with Goldie \u2026\u00a0 I had never worked or met them before, and we sat down in a cafe \u2026 at a round table, and I was so intimidated,\u201d Midler told Stephen Colbert<\/strong>. \u201cI was a little bit of a newbie. So, we sat there and they started telling stories, and I\u2019ll tell you, I never laughed harder in my whole life. It was brilliant and magical.\u201d<\/p>\n
