Tony Danza<\/strong><\/a> clapped back at Valerie Bertinelli<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s claim he ghosted her after she left her number in his glove box over a decade ago.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe never called me!\u201d Bertinelli, 65, claimed during the Tuesday, October 14, episode of The Drew Barrymore Show<\/em><\/a>, alleging that she once dropped her number inside Danza\u2019s car \u2014 but never got that date.<\/p>\n

Host Drew Barrymore<\/strong><\/a> teased, \u201cThey never do, by the way,\u201d hinting that men rarely call a girl and ask her out as they hope.<\/p>\n

When Danza, 74, stopped by the talk show later that day for a cooking segment, Bertinelli had to give him a hard time for seemingly ghosting her<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tValerie Bertinelli has confirmed her exit as the cohost of Food Network\u2019s Kids Baking Championship after 12 seasons. \u201cI\u2019ve been avoiding facing what I got confirmation last night and I didn\u2019t want to talk about it last night [because] I wanted to sleep on it because it really hurt my feelings,\u201d Bertinelli, 62, said in [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThis is a sauce that you\u2019ve never made for me even though I left my phone number in your glove box,\u201d she quipped, referring to the \u201cDate Sauce\u201d Danza planned to make for the hosts.<\/p>\n

Barrymore, 50, then looked directly at Danza and asked, \u201cDid you ever find Val\u2019s phone number in your glove box?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNo I did not!\u201d Danza quickly responded, confessing, \u201cI think she\u2019s full of baloney!\u201d<\/p>\n

While Danza didn\u2019t appear to believe Bertinelli\u2019s version of events, the pair laughed off the awkwardness as they shared the kitchen. He proceeded to cook for Barrymore and Bertinelli<\/a>, before revealing how his famous sauce got its name.<\/p>\n

\u201cI used to say, \u2018Hey, come over. I\u2019ll cook something,\u2019\u201d Danza said of the recipe\u2019s \u201cdate sauce\u201d label. \u201cAnd I cooked this stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bertinelli teased she wouldn\u2019t know how the sauce was named because she \u201cnever heard those words,\u201d poking fun at Danza\u2019s alleged dating slight.<\/p>\n

Danza smiled as he continued to cook down his sauce and add in meatballs and short ribs, revealing his meatball recipe once beat Bobby Flay<\/strong>\u2019s on TV.<\/p>\n

While viewers got tips about how to make the perfect Italian meal from the Who\u2019s the Boss?<\/em><\/a> alum on Tuesday\u2019s show, Bertinelli has been sharing her cooking tips and tricks with fans for years.<\/p>\n

Bertinelli exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> last month her go-to advice for hosting, which often means making a \u201cgood casserole\u201d or \u201cone-pan chicken dish.\u201d<\/p>\n
