A woman allegedly poured hot oil and chili powder on her husband while he was sleeping in their home in India, which caused him to sustain \u201cdangerous\u201d injuries.<\/p>\n
Dinesh Kumar<\/strong> was sleeping alongside his wife, Sadhna Kumar<\/strong>, and their daughter at their home in Delhi\u2019s Madangir area when he woke up with a pain across his face and torso around 3:15 a.m. on October 2, according to local outlets Hindustan Times<\/a><\/em>, India Today<\/a><\/em> and NDTV<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n According to Times of India<\/a><\/em>, Dinesh, 28, claimed he saw Sadhna standing over him with a container of hot oil as she threatened, \u201cIf you shout, I will pour more oil on you.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBefore I could get up or call for help, she sprinkled red chilli powder on my burns,\u201d Kumar told police, according to the outlet.<\/p>\n Eminem\u2019s Eldest Daughter Alaina Scott Is Pregnant, Expecting First Baby With Husband Matt Moeller<\/a><\/p>\n Their neighbors could hear Dinesh\u2019s screams and they knocked on the couple\u2019s front door, but their attempts to help were ignored, according to India Today<\/em>. The couple\u2019s landlord eventually called his brother-in-law, Ram Sagar<\/strong>, to help, and Dinesh was rushed to the hospital, according to the Hindustan Times<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cOn the day of the incident, we heard Dinesh screaming,\u201d Anjali<\/strong>, the landlord\u2019s daughter, told India Today TV<\/em>. \u201cWhen we went upstairs, his wife wasn\u2019t opening the door, and he was badly burnt. He kept saying that his wife had poured hot oil and chilli powder on him.<\/p>\n \u201cThey had moved into our house around seven months ago,\u201d she added of Dinesh and Sadhna.<\/p>\n NDTV reported that Dinesh was moved from a local hospital to Safdarjung Hospital for treatment due to the severity of his burns. Additionally, police told the outlet that his injuries were \u201cdangerous.\u201d<\/p>\n While the incident is being investigated, Sadhna has not been arrested for the alleged assault.<\/p>\n The recent incident took place amid the couples\u2019 previous issues during their eight-year marriage, and Hindustan Times<\/em> reported that law enforcement had been called in to intervene with their arguments in the past.<\/p>\n Despite having many issues in the eight years since they\u2019ve been married, the couple has continued to live together and reconciled.<\/p>\n
