Alec Baldwin<\/a> won’t face any legal consequences following his car crash in the Hamptons.<\/p>\n

Alec Baldwin was involved in a car crash<\/p>\n

The former 30 Rock star, was driving a white Range Rover SUV in East Hampton, New York on Monday (13.10.25) with his brother Stephen Baldwin<\/a> in the passenger seat when he swerved to avoid a garbage truck and police have now issued a report on the incident, in which they confirmed there were no “summons issued”.<\/p>\n

Michael D. Sarlo, Chief of Police of the East Hampton Town Police Department, told Us Weekly magazine: \u201cAt approximately 12:01 pm on Monday, October 13th, the EHTPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on State Route 27, Pantigo Road near Cross Highway.<\/p>\n

\u201cA white 2023 Range Rover, operated by Alec Baldwin<\/a>, with passenger Stephen Baldwin, was found to have struck a tree on the Eastbound shoulder of the roadway while avoiding the turning action of a 2020 Mack commercial truck, registered to National Waste Services out of Bay Shore, NY. <\/p>\n

“There were no injuries reported or summons issued and the contributing factors to the accident were found to be a reaction to an uninvolved vehicle and the slippery and wet roadway conditions.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nThe 67-year-old actor had blamed a “garbage truck the size of a whale” for the accident, which “totally crushed” his wife Hilaria’s care.<\/p>\n

\nHe said in a video shared to Instagram: “I was in a car accident this morning. I’m fine. My brother Stephen was visiting me on Long Island and we spent the weekend out there for the film festival [Hamptons International Film Festival] … <\/p>\n

\n\u201cThis morning I was in this car accident, this guy cut me off in a truck. A big garbage truck \u2026 A garbage truck the size of a whale \u2026 I’ve never seen a garbage truck [so big]. It must have been something commercial for taking away material from construction or something… <\/p>\n

\n“It was the biggest garbage truck I\u2019d ever seen \u2026 anyway… to avoid hitting him, I hit a tree. I hit a big fat tree and crushed my wife\u2019s car … <\/p>\n

\n“I crushed my wife\u2019s car, I feel bad about that but it\u2019s all fine. And I’m fine and my brother’s fine … “<\/p>\n

\nAlec went on to thank the emergency services for their help at the scene, but insisted the car is a write off.<\/p>\n

\nHe said: “Thank you to the East Hampton Police Department for coming to my aid. They came and we filed a report with them. Officer Gerken. Lovely guy ..<\/p>\n

\n“My wife’s car was pretty smashed up. Big tree. Big fat tree.”<\/p>\n
