There\u2019s a new member of the Hudson crew stepping into the world of acting \u2013 Oliver Hudson<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s 18-year-old son, Wilder Hudson<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The teen will make his acting debut in his dad\u2019s upcoming holiday film, A Merry Little Ex-Mas<\/em>, a performance that brought Oliver, 49, to tears.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sitting there listening in [on] the movie, and after his first take, I, for the first time, just started crying. Because I couldn\u2019t believe that this was my son,\u201d Oliver told People<\/em><\/a> on Tuesday, October 14, of his son\u2019s performance<\/a>. \u201cI stepped out of myself a little bit, and I\u2019m like, \u2018This is my son who is doing great and who has never done this before. He\u2019s just going head first into the fire, and he\u2019s in my world now, and I\u2019m just so proud of him.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Oliver continued, \u201cI just swelled with this pride that I\u2019d never felt before, and it was just overwhelming and it made me emotional. That was a moment for me that I will never, ever forget.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tKate Hudson and Oliver Hudson have an enviable sibling bond where they can talk about anything and everything. The two actors are the children of actress Goldie Hawn and ex-husband Bill Hudson. Hawn and Bill split in 1980, nearly 35 years before he publicly disowned Kate and Oliver. In a 2015 interview with the Daily [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Wilder \u201chad just finished an acting class outside of school\u201d before landing the role of Gabriel in the film. The proud dad teased that at the end of the movie, Wilder\u2019s character gives \u201ca big speech\u201d that he was \u201creally nervous about it.\u201d Based on Oliver\u2019s emotional reaction, it seems like Wilder knocked it out of the park.<\/p>\n

Oliver, who also shares son Bodhi, 15, and daughter Rio, 12, with wife Erinn Bartlett<\/strong>, and Wilder were featured in A Merry Little Ex-Mas<\/em> trailer<\/a>, which debuted on Tuesday. Oliver portrays the character Everett, a doctor who shares kids Sienna (Emily Hunt<\/strong>) and Gabriel with wife Kate (Alicia Silverstone<\/strong>). Things change drastically for the couple once their kids get older and prepare to fly the nest, leading them to begin divorce proceedings.<\/p>\n

Everett begins dating Tess (Jameela Jamil<\/strong>) and Kate begins a flirty dialogue with Chet (Pierson Fod\u00e9<\/strong>) to try and make her ex jealous. From the trailer alone, it seems like the holiday flick will explore a fair share of drama between the former couple and their new partners and teases plenty of Christmas magic in store. The Steve Carr<\/strong>-directed rom-com also stars Melissa Joan Hart.<\/p>\n

Wilder\u2019s acting ventures follow in the footsteps<\/a> of not only his father, but his aunt Kate Hudson<\/strong>, grandmother Goldie Hawn<\/strong>, grandfather Kurt Russell<\/strong> and uncle Wyatt Russell<\/strong>. Hawn, 79, previously teased that she was expecting Rio to also pursue show business.<\/p>\n
