As he competes on Dancing With the Stars<\/em> <\/a>season 34, Dylan Efron<\/strong><\/a> has girlfriend Courtney King<\/strong> by his side \u2014 but it hasn\u2019t always been the easiest to navigate.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would be lying if [I said] Dancing With The Stars<\/em> wasn\u2019t tough, but I think it\u2019s tougher on Courtney than me,\u201d Efron, 33, admitted on the Monday, October 13, episode of the \u201cViall Files\u201d<\/a> podcast.<\/p>\n

Efron explained that he\u2019s in the rehearsal studio for \u201cfive hours a day,\u201d adding that by the end of the day his \u201cbrain\u2019s mush, [his] body hurts.\u201d While Efron competes on the reality show with partner Daniella Karagach<\/strong>, he noted that he\u2019s \u201cliving outside of our Manhattan Beach place right now, closer to where the studio is.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s trying right now,\u201d he said of balancing his relationship with King and competing on the show. \u201cBut she\u2019s so supportive. She knows I love her, 100 percent. So it\u2019s like, we know it\u2019s all temporary, so that\u2019s why I don\u2019t think anything\u2019s really changed. I know it\u2019s hard for us right now, but we\u2019re still where we are. We still love each other and, yeah, we\u2019re in a great place.\u201d<\/p>\n

While reflecting on how his relationship has been altered since his fame, Efron shared that he \u201cwouldn\u2019t say much has changed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe cool thing that\u2019s changed is we started traveling together a lot more. Like, for a lot of these trips I\u2019ll do with brands or whatever, I get to bring her with me,\u201d he said. \u201cI think incorporating her more into that has helped our relationship a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n

Efron and King first met in high school<\/a>. In March, Efron confirmed their romance.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m in a relationship,\u201d he said during an episode of the \u201cViall Files\u201d podcast at the time. \u201cIt\u2019s cool because she\u2019s actually not on social media and she works a 40-hour week job.\u201d<\/p>\n

Days before the show\u2019s Dedication Night, Efron, 33, shared a glimpse of his and partner Daniella Karagach\u2019s rehearsals alongside his 5-year-old sister, Olivia. \u201cPlease welcome the newest member of Team DaDy, my lil sister Olivia,\u201d Efron wrote via Instagram on Sunday, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Efron gushed that the private nature of the pair\u2019s relationship \u201cworks out really well.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not, like, I\u2019m hiding her from the world or anything,\u201d he said. \u201cShe understands the job, all the stuff. She doesn\u2019t really like being on camera. She loves your guys\u2019 podcast. I wouldn\u2019t know about it [without her]. She\u2019s the one who introduced me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Efron went on to tease that a proposal may be in the cards soon. \u201cShe knows the answer. We\u2019re working on it,\u201d he said. \u201cCourtney\u2019s so down-to-earth, she\u2019d never [impose a deadline]. Look, we\u2019re 33. She\u2019s not going to put a deadline on it.<\/p>\n
