Keaton was also the rare woman in Hollywood who\u2014even after reaching middle age\u2014continued to be cast in romantic and powerful roles. Sure, she was a spurned spouse in 1996’s The First Wives Club<\/em>, but one who rejected her philandering husband when he attempted a reconciliation. In 2003, her role in Nancy Meyers rom-com Something’s Gotta Give<\/em> cemented that position, allowing Keaton dalliances with both Keanu Reeves<\/strong> and Jack Nicholson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

But in real life, Keaton never married\u2014and she was fine with that, she said in 2019<\/a>. \u201cI think I\u2019m the only one in my generation and maybe before who has been a single woman all her life,\u201d she said then. \u201cI don\u2019t think it would have been a good idea for me to have married, and I\u2019m really glad I didn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
