Corporate travel management company Navan \u2014 once known as\u00a0TripActions \u2014 filed updated\u00a0IPO documents<\/a>\u00a0with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission\u00a0on Friday,\u00a0even though the federal government is currently shut down.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n Navan is\u00a0proceeding\u00a0under\u00a0new SEC rules<\/a>\u00a0that\u00a0allows\u00a0wanna-be\u00a0public companies that are in limbo during the shutdown to file\u00a0updated\u00a0information,\u00a0including share count and pricing, and have their statements automatically\u00a0okayed\u00a0in\u00a020 days without staff scrutiny.\u00a0Once the filings are declared effective, Navan can kick off its roadshow. The rule, however,\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0mean that staff\u00a0can\u2019t\u00a0ask questions or require amended filings later.\u00a0<\/p>\n Navan declined to comment to TechCrunch about its updated IPO documents.<\/p>\n The going thought was that the shutdown would cool and possibly\u00a0freeze an IPO market that had just started to thaw.\u00a0Even with this rule, many\u00a0companies would rather get a green light from a staffer than go it alone, sources\u00a0told,\u00a0Bloomberg.<\/a>\u00a0So the tech world will be watching how Navan\u2019s gambit fairs.\u00a0<\/p>\n Navan\u2019s updated filing shows the company plans to sell\u00a030 million shares, with insiders selling an\u00a0additional\u00a07 million. It priced its range at $24 to $26.\u00a0At the\u00a0high-end, the company would raise\u00a0more than $960 million and be valued at\u00a0$6.45 billion.\u00a0Navan is backed by Lightspeed, Andreessen Horowitz, Zeev Ventures, and Greenoaks. <\/p>\n Navan\u00a0generated\u00a0rolling 12-month revenue\u00a0of\u00a0$613 million (up 32%), with\u00a0losses\u00a0of $188 million, according to the updated filing. <\/p>\n
