Love Is Blind<\/em> <\/a>season 9 star Joe Ferrucci<\/strong> is cringing along with the audience while watching the Netflix show back.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve cooled down on drinking substantially to where I\u2019m not making a fool out of myself every week,\u201d Joe told Us Weekly<\/em> in an exclusive interview on Friday, October 10.<\/p>\n

In the first batch of episodes, which dropped earlier this month, Joe got into a drunken fight with fianc\u00e9e Madison Maidenberg<\/strong> <\/a>in Mexico. In the second installment, he went off about costar Nick Amato\u2019<\/strong>s presumed lack of bedroom skills with fianc\u00e9e Annie Lancaster<\/strong> in an on-the-fly confessional interview.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been in the works,\u201d Joe added of scaling back on his drinking. \u201cI think I needed to calm down. That was a very interesting time in my life as well, and with the added stress of the show. \u2026 I think I used that as a coping mechanism, which was really the worst coping mechanism you could use. So, yes, I made some comments about Nick, and I did apologize to him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joe noted that Nick actually reached out to him first when he saw the episode, during which Joe said, in part, \u201cI don\u2019t f*** with him too much\u201d and \u201cNick does missionary the whole time and that\u2019s about it \u2026 at least Brenden would switch it up. Throw it back, flip it over, rub it down.\u201d (Joe is close with Annie\u2019s other pod connection, Brenden Guthrie<\/strong>, who was still reeling from how things ended with Annie.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI hadn\u2019t seen it [yet],\u201d Joe explained to Us<\/em>. \u201cI apologized back to him. I think that was kind of out of line. People online might think it\u2019s funny, right? But I wouldn\u2019t want somebody else talking about me like that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI was very close with Brenden, right? Brenden was a good friend, still very good friend to this day. I kind of felt a little heartbroken for him on what happened with him. I was definitely being too hard on Nick,\u201d he continued. \u201cNick has a good heart, for sure. Nick is a unique guy, right? And sometimes people just don\u2019t mesh very well, so I\u2019ll just leave it at that. But I think Nick does have a good heart, and I think he means well.\u201d<\/p>\n

When it comes to his first blowup fight with Madison, Nick told Us<\/em> he was watching the scenes with his hands over his eyes.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was hard to watch it. In real time, it was cringey. It was not good. I got very inebriated at the party and ended up having a conversation where I was pretty much still out of it,\u201d he said. \u201cI could definitely tell she was wanting something and to get somewhere that night that I was probably incapable of coming to a conclusion at the end there.\u201d<\/p>\n
