By Tuesday, the song\u2019s lyrics were getting broader attention, perhaps thanks to Tricia McLaughlin,<\/strong> DHS assistant secretary for public affairs\u2014who wrote about them on X<\/a>, quoting a post from Pop Crave about Bryan\u2019s song.<\/p>\n
\u201cStick to Pink Skies, dude,\u201d McLaughlin wrote, a reference to a song off Bryan\u2019s 2024 album The Great American Bar Scene.<\/em><\/p>\n
On Tuesday night, Bryan responded to the recent attention, claiming in his Instagram Stories that the song was not a reaction to recent events. \u201cI wrote this song months ago,\u201d he said<\/a>. \u201cThis shows you how divisive a narrative can be when shoved down our throats through social media.
