\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Melissa McCarthy<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about her Gilmore Girls<\/strong><\/a><\/em> past.<\/p>\n If you recall, the 52-year-old Little Mermaid <\/em>star played Lorelai\u2019s BFF Sookie St. James on the long-running WB series, and in a new interview, dished about the show\u2019s legacy, and why she\u2019s not able to watch it at home anymore.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n In a sneak preview for her interview on Sunday Today with Willie Geist<\/a><\/em>, Melissa <\/strong>revealed that she\u2019s not able to watch it all because of her fear for getting caught doing it. <\/p>\n \u201cI watched it with Vivian once, my oldest, and we watched the pilot\u2026and I was watching her watch it,\u201d she started, adding that she\u2019s \u201calso always afraid somehow, something\u2019s going to happen, and I\u2019m going to be found in a room watching my own thing. So I have a super paranoia about \u2018I can\u2019t watch my own stuff in the house.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Melissa <\/strong>adds, \u201cFor some reason I\u2019m always like what if I pass out and paramedics come in and the takeaway is she was watching her own stuff, weird. Every time I turn on a tv and it\u2019s me I\u2019m like, \u2018Oh god do I feel lightheaded. I don\u2019t want to pass out in a room where my stuff\u2019s playing.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n She also spoke about the legacy that Gilmore Girls<\/em> still has today. <\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s had legs on it that I didn\u2019t expect,\u201d Melissa<\/strong> said. \u201cIt has had this generational legacy, young people that watched it, now that they have kids, and they watch it with their kids, and now their kids are watching it with their own friends.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cIt always meant a lot to me\u201d she concluded, \u201chearing that \u2018We\u2019re in a stage where we\u2019re not really connecting and it\u2019s the one time a week that we can sit down and we\u2019re cohesive\u2019 and I\u2019m like, \u2018Oh my gosh that\u2019s quite a thing to be connected with.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Speaking of Gilmore Girls<\/em>, a lot of stars from the show popped up on this series that\u2019s ending now.<\/a><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
