Scheana Shay<\/strong><\/a> is responding to rumors about her involvement on the upcoming third season of The Valley<\/strong><\/a><\/em>!<\/p>\n The 40-year-old Vanderpump Rules<\/strong><\/a><\/em> alum has briefly appeared in the first two seasons of the Bravo spinoff, and was rumored to be joining full time alongside husband Brock Davies<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n However, during a recent episode of her Scheananigans <\/em>podcast<\/a> where she sat down with executive producer Alex Baskin<\/strong>, she revealed she actually turned it down. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cFor anyone hoping that I would be joining the cast, I am sorry to disappoint you this season,\u201d she said. \u201cFor those who were very vocal about not wanting me to join the show, don\u2019t worry. I\u2019m sure I will find some other ways to disappoint you, so stay tuned.\u201d<\/p>\n Scheana<\/strong> then asked Alex <\/strong>if she was ever offered a role on season three. <\/p>\n \u201cWe definitely had serious conversations about you being a part of the cast,\u201d he said, to which she said it was a \u201cgreat offer.\u201d <\/p>\n Alex<\/strong> responded, \u201cI thought it was a compelling offer.\u201d<\/p>\n Scheana<\/strong> commented on rumors that she was not asked on and Lala Kent<\/strong><\/a> took her spot, and he confirmed, \u201cThat\u2019s not true at all.\u201d<\/p>\n The VPR <\/em>star noted that she went back and forth about the decision, wondering if it was the right move to make after Vanderpump Rules<\/em> and after releasing her new memoir. <\/p>\n \u201cIs it the fresh start I\u2019m looking for? Or is it a continuation of what I\u2019ve been doing all along? And after just going back and forth, there were a few things that kind of stood out to me that made me make this decision,\u201d Scheana<\/strong> says. <\/p>\n She also shared that she looked to other reality stars that left their shows, like Paige DeSorbo<\/strong><\/a> leaving Summer House<\/em>, and revealed she had a discussion with Paige <\/strong>about it.<\/p>\n \u201cI reached out to her and I\u2019m like, \u2018I\u2019m really struggling. I need to make a decision soon. How did you know it wasn\u2019t for you?\u2019 And just after having a long conversation with her, I started to feel the same way,\u201d Scheana<\/strong> said. \u201cAnd I thought, you know, maybe this isn\u2019t the next step for me. Emotionally, I felt like I\u2019ve been running a marathon for over a decade, and I don\u2019t even time to breathe before the next race. It felt like from book tour to filming season three, I didn\u2019t even have time to check in on my marriage or my family. And it was like, and we\u2019re just going right back into it.\u201d<\/p>\n While Scheana<\/strong> didn\u2019t exactly rule out a return to reality TV, she noted that she doesn\u2019t want to go back unless she has that spark again. <\/p>\n \u201cI feel like I want to find my purpose on reality TV. I don\u2019t want my purpose to be reality TV,\u201d she said. \u201cI really don\u2019t know what my next chapter looks like. It\u2019s not like I have this big mater plan and I\u2019m walking away from this show, because I\u2019m going to do [another] show.
