Is a feud brewing between Ryan Seacrest<\/a> and Andy Cohen<\/a>?<\/p>\n

One year after Cohen, 54, got a little too drunk<\/a> while hosting CNN\u2019s New Year\u2019s Eve Live<\/em> alongside Anderson Cooper<\/a>, Seacrest, 48, weighed in about the situation.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t advocate drinking when one is on the air,\u201d the American Idol<\/em> alum, who hosts ABC\u2019s Dick Clark\u2019s New Year\u2019s Rockin\u2019 Eve<\/em>, said in a new interview. \u201cI don\u2019t know how that started as a tradition, but it\u2019s probably a good idea [to scale back], CNN.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s some pretty respectable people or at least one, right?\u201d the Live With Kelly and Ryan<\/em> star quipped. \u201cI think there\u2019s a serious journalist and then a friend of mine who has a lot of fun, but it\u2019s probably a good idea<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

As OK!<\/em> previously reported, the Bravo star blasted former Mayor Bill de Blasio<\/strong> for doing the \u201ccrappiest job,\u201d and he slammed ABC\u2019s Dick Clark\u2019s Rockin\u2019 Eve<\/em>, calling the performers a \u201cgroup of losers.\u201d<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Despite Cohen\u2019s controversial comments<\/strong><\/a>, he declared he was just trying to have a good time. \u201cI will not be shamed for having fun on New Year\u2019s Eve. That\u2019s why I\u2019m there.\u201d he explained in January. \u201cIt\u2019s a four-and-a-half-hour show. The booze started kicking in around 11:30 \u2026 I kicked into high gear with 45 minutes left.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, he did apologize to Seacrest.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only thing that I regret saying, the only thing is that I slammed the ABC broadcast<\/a>, and I really like Ryan Seacrest, and he\u2019s a great guy,\u201d he noted. \u201cAnd I really regret saying that, and I was just stupid and drunk and feeling it.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cI just kept talking, and I shouldn\u2019t have, and I felt bad about that. So that is the only thing [I regret]. It\u2019s the only thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Seacrest believes if alcohol wasn\u2019t in the equation<\/a>, Cohen would have acted different.<\/p>\n

\u201c[I don\u2019t] think they would say what they said about our performers if they weren\u2019t drinking,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
