Bruce Springsteen<\/strong><\/a> has nothing but praise for Jeremy Allen White<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s depiction of him in the upcoming biopic Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to thank everybody for coming out to see our film tonight and our crew, a great cast,\u201d Springsteen, 76, said during a screening for the movie at the New York Film Festival last month, per People<\/em><\/a>. \u201cJeremy Allen White for putting his whole heart and soul into the part, just such a wonderful job, and for playing a much better looking version of me.<\/p>\n

Springsteen joked, \u201cI\u2019m really thankful for that.\u201d<\/p>\n

White, 34, explained that he asked Springsteen \u201creally direct\u201d questions at the beginning of the production.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBruce Springsteen was heavily involved in his upcoming biopic, Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere \u2014 much to the delight of the actor portraying him. The music legend, 75, said in an interview with Rolling Stone, published on Thursday, June 19, that Jeremy Allen White was \u201cvery, very tolerant\u201d of him during the days Springsteen appeared [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201c\u2018Why this film? Why this period?\u2019 And even what happened on this journey, on this road trip, in really specific moments. And he was immediately so honest,\u201d White told the outlet.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe talked to me about a panic attack he\u2019d had, and he described it to me as in this moment he felt like he was like a voyeur in his own life,\u201d White continued. \u201cHe was an observer. He felt so outside of himself, and he told me that story, and that\u2019s a feeling I\u2019m familiar with. I think I\u2019m always trying to find some presence in my own life, and I worked very hard at it every day. And when he told me that story and made me familiar with that feeling, I knew there was a tether that I could explore there.\u201d<\/p>\n

The film, set to be released later this month<\/a>, centers on the making of Springsteen\u2019s 1982 album, Nebraska<\/em>. Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere<\/em> is also an adaptation of Warren Zanes<\/strong>\u2019 book of the same name<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In June, the \u201cDancing in the Dark\u201d musician said that White was \u201cvery, very tolerant\u201d of him during the days Springsteen was on set.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJeremy Allen White got a visit from The Boss while filming the upcoming biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere. Bruce Springsteen was photographed chatting with White, 33, on the movie\u2019s set in Bayonne, New Jersey, on Monday, November 4. White channeled the 75-year-old music legend while wearing a leather jacket and dark pants. Springsteen, meanwhile, donned [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI said to him, \u2018Look, anytime I\u2019m in the way, just give me the look and I\u2019m on my way home.\u2019 So the days that I got out there, he was wonderfully tolerant with me being there,\u201d Springsteen told Rolling Stone<\/em> at the time. \u201cAnd it was just fun. It was enjoyable.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Springsteen wanted to be involved in the film proces<\/a>s, he shared that reliving some of his past wasn\u2019t an easy feat.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, there\u2019s some unusualness to it because the movie involves, in some ways, some of the most painful days of my life,\u201d Springsteen shared. \u201cBut it was a great project, and Jeremy and Jeremy Strong<\/strong> [who plays manager Jon Landau] were both fantastic, terrific in it as were all the other actors.\u201d<\/p>\n
