Blake Lively<\/strong><\/a> knew exactly who to send to support her husband Ryan Reynolds<\/strong><\/a> when she couldn\u2019t make it to the premiere of his latest film project: her entire family.<\/p>\n

Reynolds, 48, was joined by Blake\u2019s sisters Robin<\/strong> and Lori Lively<\/strong>, as well as her niece Kate Johnson<\/strong>, on the red carpet for the new documentary John Candy: I Like Me<\/em> on Thursday, October 2. Reynolds is a co-producer on the film.<\/p>\n

The documentary offers a special tribute to the late comedian and actor, who died on March 4, 1994, at age 43 of a heart attack. The premiere was also attended by Macaulay Culkin<\/strong>, Colin Hanks<\/strong> and Martin Short<\/strong>, who are all featured in the film.<\/p>\n

Though Blake didn\u2019t join her husband for the public appearance, she did take time on Friday, October 3, to celebrate the release of her friend Taylor Swift\u2019s<\/strong> latest album The Life of Showgirl<\/em> \u2014 even as the It Ends With Us<\/em> star continues her legal battle against the film\u2019s director and her costar, Justin Baldoni<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBlake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were in good spirits while out and about in New York City amid their ongoing legal drama. Reynolds, 48, led Lively, 37, through the streets of SoHo while holding her hand on Sunday, May 18. The Welcome to Wrexham star kept it casual in a short-sleeved button down with black [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Blake made sure<\/a> to give Swift\u2019s post announcing the album\u2019s release a \u201clike\u201d via Instagram.<\/p>\n

Her legal drama with Baldoni began back in December 2024, when she accused the director of sexual harassment and of organizing a smear campaign against her. Baldoni denied the allegations and filed a countersuit, which was dismissed in June 2025.<\/p>\n

Blake\u2019s lawsuit is still proceeding, and the pair are set to meet in court in March 2026. Baldoni\u2019s team has also subpoenaed Swift<\/a>, 35, who has denied having any involvement in the making of It Ends With Us<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cTaylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film,\u201d Swift\u2019s representative said in a May 2025 statement to Us Weekly<\/em>. \u201cShe did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history.\u201d<\/p>\n

Baldoni\u2019s team withdrew the subpoena later that same month.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are pleased that Justin Baldoni and the Wayfarer Parties have withdrawn their harassing subpoenas to Taylor Swift and her law firm,\u201d a statement from Lively\u2019s team read at the time. \u201cWe supported the efforts of Taylor\u2019s team to quash these inappropriate subpoenas directed to her counsel and we will continue to stand up for any third party who is unjustly harassed or threatened in the process.\u201d<\/p>\n
