The Golden Bachelor<\/em> Gerry Turner<\/strong><\/a> and his girlfriend, Lana Sutton<\/strong><\/a>, are engaged!<\/p>\n

Turner, 73, announced the news via an Instagram post<\/a> on Friday, October 3. The post featured a carousel of couple selfies with Sutton brandishing a sparkling engagement ring.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve got BIG news,\u201d the post\u2019s caption read. \u201cThe Golden Bachelor<\/a> is OFF the market. I found my perfect match and she said \u2018YES\u2019. I Love this woman.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans flocked to the comments section to send well wishes to the newly engaged couple.<\/p>\n

\u201c\ud83d\udc4f\ud83d\udc4f So happy for both of you. Very good choice Gerry\ud83d\ude0d\u201d wrote one follower, while another added, \u201cCongratulations! You look very happy together! That\u2019s some bling she has on her ring finger \ud83d\udc4f\ud83d\udc8d\u201d<\/p>\n

Turner revealed the identity of his new girlfriend in April via a TMZ<\/em> interview<\/a>. He shared that he met Sutton after she slid into his DMs.<\/p>\n

He shared that the romance was almost over before it even began when he ignored her first message.<\/p>\n

Luckily, Sutton persisted and messaged him again and revealed she grew up in an Indiana town 20 minutes from him \u2014 which sparked his interest.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve been together every weekend,\u201d Gerry told People<\/em> in April. \u201cShe\u2019s retired, so she\u2019s not tied down. On a moment\u2019s notice, she could come here or if I go there. There\u2019s no encumbrances with work, so there\u2019s just an awful lot of pluses that are helping us along.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prior to revealing Sutton\u2019s identity, Turner confirmed on an episode of the \u201cBachelor Happy Hour\u201d podcast in April that he was dating someone new.<\/p>\n

The new romance revelation came a year after Turner filed for divorce from Theresa Nist<\/strong>. (Turner and Nist met on The Golden Bachelor\u2019s<\/em> season 1, became engaged in November 2023 and married in January 2024 before the divorce was filed in April 2024.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI am dating someone,\u201d Turner shared on the podcast. \u201cI think at this point it\u2019s going well. But I don\u2019t want to say too much and jinx it and I\u2019m trying to respectfully get to a point where there\u2019s an acceptable amount of time from my divorce. Maybe that\u2019s an old fashioned thought \u2014 maybe it doesn\u2019t matter as much as I think it does, but to be respectful, I kind of want to slow roll this.\u201d<\/p>\n

Turner admitted that there was an instant attraction between himself and Sutton.<\/p>\n
