Eric Johnson<\/a> – finds it “wild” when she hears any of her kids sing because their ability is way beyond her own.<\/p>\nSpeaking on The Jennifer Hudson Show, she said: “My youngest can belt her brains out. Like, she has got the power and I don’t know Megadeth or, like, full on gospel, but she’s got the lungs.<\/p>\n
“Maxwell, my oldest, has, like, perfect pitch. My son has perfect pitch. It’s kind of wild when you [hear] them humming along. I’m like, ‘Wait, I can’t even do that riff.’ “<\/p>\n
Jessica has learned a lot from her children.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “I love being a mother. They teach me more than I teach them.”<\/p>\n
\nAnd now she has revived her own music career, Jessica is excited for her children to see her on stage for the first time.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “They’ve never seen me perform. I really wanted to be a mom. I wanted to focus on the Jessica Simpson collection and that really was connected to my lifestyle.<\/p>\n
\n“The kids are very proud of me. They’ve supported me since I started going out to Nashville.<\/p>\n
\n“They knew I was following my dreams and they saw how happy like it made me and how much peace it gave me.<\/p>\n
\n“The kids have waited to see me on stage and so I don’t know which show it will be.<\/p>\n
\n“I have an upcoming show in Vegas that I’m really excited about. That’s November 8 at Planet Hollywood.<\/p>\n
\n“I’m very excited about that one, so maybe my kids can come to that one.”<\/p>\n
\nJessica recently admitted she feels “blessed” to have overcome the “hard stuff” with her divorce and is enjoying feeling “free”.<\/p>\n
\nShe told People magazine: “I was just in Pittsburgh to perform for the first time since 2008 for 60-plus minutes. It felt like home. It was such an adrenaline rush. It was beautiful for me. <\/p>\n
\n“I\u2019m actually blessed to have gone through the hard stuff that I went through. I feel like I\u2019m on the other side. I\u2019m proud to be doing music independently and have my kids rooting for me. It\u2019s more free than I\u2019ve ever been.”<\/p>\n
