She added: \u201cAnd then I kind of pretended to puke. Then I was on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jimmy \u2013 who has children Jane, 11, and Billy, eight, with his wife Molly McNearney, as well as adult children Katie, 34, and Kevin, 32 \u2013\u00a0said his kids were also in the studio audience. <\/p>\n<p>\nHe asked Emily: \u201cDo you think your kids realise how much more fun it is when you bring them to your work than when we went to our parents\u2019 work?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\nThe actress replied she hoped they would appreciate it one day, noting her father had been a criminal defense lawyer. <\/p>\n<p>\nShe said: \u201cI used to go and watch him at work, which was pretty amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\nJimmy pressed: \u201cBut you didn\u2019t get like Cheez-Its. There was no snack table, right? None of that?\u2019\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\nEmily laughed, confirming her daughters\u2019 experience on film sets was a little more glamorous than hers had been.<\/p>\n<p>\nShe went on to share how little impact her accomplishments had on her children.<\/p>\n<p>\nEmily said: \u201cI don\u2019t know if they\u2019re meant to be impressed.<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cI did a photoshoot the other day for the cover of a magazine. I was pretty stoked about it. I\u2019d spent the whole day with people saying, \u2018Oh my god. So fierce. You look so good. You just look so gorgeous, Emily\u2019. \u201cAnd I walked into my apartment still with my photoshoot makeup on, and my oldest daughter, Hazel, went, \u2018Ew\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cAnd my little one, Violet, was like, \u2018I think you look nice, mama\u2019. <\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cSo I, you know, I\u2019ve turned one of them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\nJimmy joked parents \u201calways get one nice one\u201d before admitting his own children were similarly unimpressed. <\/p>\n<p>\nHe added: \u201cThey\u2019re not impressed by anything\u2026 and they shouldn\u2019t be, obviously.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\nEmily replied: \u201cI think it\u2019s healthy, right?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\nJimmy agreed, though added: \u201cI find it a little bit annoying sometimes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\nAsked whether her daughters\u2019 friends ever reacted to her fame, Emily explained it was usually their parents who took more notice. <\/p>\n<p>\nShe said: \u201cSometimes the parents try to sort of recruit them, and they\u2019re like, \u2018That\u2019s Mary Poppins\u2019. <\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cAnd I\u2019m there in my sweatpants, and the kids are like, \u2018It\u2019s not. It\u2019s really not.
