Kylie Kelce suffered a miscarriage in 2018<\/p>\n
\nThe 33-year-old star- who has daughters Wyatt, six, Elliotte, four, Bennett, two, and Finn, six months with husband Jason Kelce – first found out she was pregnant in August 2018 but tragically discovered she had lost the baby when she was 12 weeks gone and she stressed that going on to having her other children didn’t make the loss any less painful.<\/p>\n
\nSpeaking on her Not Gonna Lie podcast, she said: \u201cI emphasise the fact that this still hurts after having four children, because it does. And it’s okay.”<\/p>\n
\nKylie shared her experience to mark October being Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, and recalled how she and Jason had travelled to London so he could play a Philadelphia Eagles game in the UK before their 12-week appointment, and during their trip, they broke the news of her pregnancy to her 37-year-old spouse’s family.<\/p>\n
\nShe grew emotional as she recalled: \u201cWe made it a point to surprise Jason’s mom and dad when we were there by pretending to take a photo and telling them that we were expecting.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWe surprised Jason’s mom and dad with a video. We also surprised Jason’s Aunt Judy and his grandmother, Grandma Mary. <\/p>\n
\n“When we were in Cleveland, we surprised [Jason\u2019s brother] Travis with little baby booties. All of these interactions were recorded for memory purposes.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe podcaster told how everything “went into slow motion” when she learned during her doctor’s appointment that she had miscarried.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cIt felt like everything went into slow motion. And they could not find the baby on the doppler.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI remember being like, \u2018Oh, there isn’t a heartbeat. You didn’t find one because there isn’t one.’<\/p>\n
\n\u201cThey estimated that the baby had stopped developing between, I believe it was nine and 10 weeks. Essentially, I had had what you would refer to as a missed miscarriage. It means that your body did not realize that the pregnancy was no longer viable.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nKylie was initially afraid to tell Jason because it was his birthday.<\/p>\n
\nShe cried as she said: \u201cIt was a s***** day because it was Jason’s birthday. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI called my mom and told her that I couldn’t tell Jason because it was his birthday, which seems very silly. It seems very silly because obviously I’m going to tell my husband what happened. And I did. And it was hard for both of us.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nKylie admitted the loss “messed with [her] brain” and she concealed her subsequent pregnancies until she was much further along.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cHaving had that experience then messed with my brain for every consecutive pregnancy.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cSo for Wyatt, we did not share that we were pregnant until I was after 20 weeks. For consecutive pregnancies, I waited till I was at least 16 weeks. <\/p>\n
\n“I Googled almost every week what the percentage likelihood was that a baby could survive, which sounds really dark. I literally did it for Finn.\u201d<\/p>\n
