Taylor Lautner<\/strong><\/a> shared an emotional video responding to trolls<\/a> who commented on his appearance after a recent TV interview.<\/p>\n \u201cI just got back from a run. I was feeling really good about myself, trying to stay healthy both physically and mentally,\u201d the Twilight<\/em><\/a> actor, 31, began in an Instagram video posted on Monday, May 22. \u201cI felt compelled to share something with you, because when I got back from that run I hopped on Instagram.\u201d<\/p>\n The Scream Queens<\/em><\/a> alum explained that he and his wife, Taylor Dome<\/strong><\/a>, were in New York City doing press for their podcast, \u201cThe Squeeze.\u201d Lautner was watching a clip from one of their interviews when he started looking at the comments section. \u201cIt brought up old feelings and memories [of] why I don\u2019t look through comments,\u201d the Valentine\u2019s Day<\/em><\/a> star said. \u201cBut I\u2019m in a different place now and I just felt compelled to share this with you, so I\u2019m gonna show you the comments and then I\u2019ll be right back.\u201d<\/p>\n The Michigan native then played a video showing some of the remarks, many of his which were about his appearance. \u201cDamn what happened to him,\u201d wrote one social media user. Another added, \u201cDude did not age well,\u201d while multiple critics made comments about his hairline. \u201cHe aged like a raisin,\u201d read another of the messages.<\/p>\n \u201cThose comments are all from one single post, which is crazy,\u201d Lautner told his followers. \u201cBut that\u2019s the world we live in, and there\u2019s only so much we can do to change it. But I think what I really wanted to say is if this was 10 years ago, five years ago, maybe even two [or] three years ago, that would really have gotten under my skin, and it would have caused me to want to go in a hole and not go outside.\u201d<\/p>\n The Abduction<\/em> actor said that hateful comments no longer make him feel like he needs to hide but admitted that he still feels affected by what he sees online. \u201cIf you put your value in you knowing who you are, what\u2019s important to you, what you love, that kind of stuff won\u2019t get to you,\u201d Lautner said. \u201cAnd I\u2019m just so thankful that I\u2019m in the place I am today where I can see that \u2014 and I\u2019m not gonna lie, I\u2019m not gonna say it doesn\u2019t bug me. I wouldn\u2019t be on here posting this video if it didn\u2019t bother me at all. But it doesn\u2019t make me question who I am and it doesn\u2019t take anything away from me.\u201d<\/p>\n The Cuckoo<\/em> alum concluded by encouraging fans and followers to remember that there\u2019s a real person on the other side of the screen. \u201cRemember where you put your value in life, and also just be nice. It\u2019s not that difficult,\u201d he said. \u201cLet\u2019s be nice to each other. Let\u2019s spread love and positivity.
