David Beckham<\/a> says his family “mean a lot to him”.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
David Beckham misses his family<\/p>\n
The 50-year-old retired footballer – who has children Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14, with wife Victoria – has opened up about much he misses his loved ones when he’s away from home.<\/p>\n
Speaking at a Bowers and Wilkins launch event for their Px8 S2 headphones in London, he told press including the Daily Mail newspaper that family “means a lot”.<\/p>\n
He added: “I’m very close to my family, so, you know, over the years they’ve got used to me travelling.<\/p>\n
“You know, the boys obviously have been around, you know, most of my career, so, you know.<\/p>\n
\n“They’ve seen me travel a lot and so has Victoria and Harper later on, but now with obviously the travel that I do, you know, of course it’s really… I miss my dogs as well.<\/p>\n
\n“But they’re part of the family, so yeah, that’s really all I miss.”<\/p>\n
\nThe Manchester United legend travelled all over the world during his football career, whereas now he mainly goes between London and Miami.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: “You know, travel, I’ve been very lucky in my career and my life, life after my career and in business because I get to travel.<\/p>\n
\n“You know, when I was at Manchester United, my first trip was to South Africa when I was 17 years old. And I travelled so much with football.<\/p>\n
\n“But then when I finished, I was able to travel in a different way to enjoy cities and countries in a different manner and enjoy cultures and, and for me that’s, that’s one of the best parts of what I do.”<\/p>\n
\nDavid’s son Brooklyn is believe to be estranged from his famous parents, but the chef insisted he “never” worries about gossip as he praised his wife Nicola Peltz-Beckham.<\/p>\n
\nHe recently told the Mail: “There’s always going to be people saying negative things but I have a very supportive wife. Me and her, we just do our thing, we just keep our heads down and work. And we’re happy.<\/p>\n
\n“Everyone is always going to say rubbish. I just try and do this, play some golf with some friends. It’s good fun.”<\/p>\n
