Captain Sandy Yawn<\/strong><\/a> is addressing the ramifications of bosun Nathan Gallagher<\/strong> damaging the boat in the season 10 premiere of Below Deck Mediterranean<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

During the Monday, September 29, episode of the hit Bravo series, Nathan joined the Bravado crew<\/a> after dealing with food poisoning. As a result, he felt behind while adjusting to running the deck team made up of Max Salvador, Christian Trimino<\/strong> and Tessa Budd<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The end of the premiere showed Sandy helping Nathan secure the WaveRunners, where had to be lifted onto the boat and maneuvered into place.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a deckhand, I was in charge of doing one job and moving on to the next,\u201d Nathan said in a confessional. \u201cDon\u2019t get me wrong, I was good at those jobs. But now as a bosun, I am in charge of all the jobs. This is overwhelming.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAs soon as you step foot on a Below Deck Mediterranean charter yacht, you\u2019re guaranteed one thing: a whole lot of drama. Throughout its Bravo run, crew members like Captain Sandy Yawn, Hannah Ferrier, Malia White and more have been know to butt heads with each other \u2014 all with the purpose of delivering a [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Nathan\u2019s attempt to move the water toys into place led to the WaveRunners crashing into the front of the boat. Sandy tried to step in, but the damage was done as the WaveRunners ran over \u2014 and broke \u2014 several parts of the vessel, in full view of the guests.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was all over the place for him in the beginning,\u201d Sandy exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em>. \u201cIn my experience, that has happened before. Crew have done that. They\u2019re just not paying attention, and it was a mistake.\u201d<\/p>\n

The captain was confident that Nathan would \u201cnever\u201d let that happen<\/a> again.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019ll pay attention. But he has got to learn it\u2019s a learning curve. I don\u2019t care whatever role you\u2019re in, it is all new. Nathan transforms into this child when he sits on a WaveRunner and he forgets about whatever else is going on around him,\u201d Sandy noted before quipping, \u201cThat\u2019s something he has to figure out on his own because I don\u2019t know how to make that happen for him. In the meantime, I don\u2019t want him to hit the boat anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite causing some visible damage, Sandy confirmed that Nathan didn\u2019t have to pay for it, adding, \u201cHe wouldn\u2019t have to. Not at all. Accidents happen. Nathan didn\u2019t purposely run into the boat. Trust me, it was an accident.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cI\u2019ve had crew run the tenders into the ground \u2014 that\u2019s expensive. Sometimes interior drops some glasses. But in my career, I haven\u2019t seen a lot of damage.\u201d<\/p>\n

Season 10, which returned on Monday, reunited Captain Sandy with Nathan after they previously worked together<\/a> one year prior. The show also brought back Aesha Scott<\/strong> and deckhand Max. The rest of the crew is made up of chef Josh Bingham<\/strong>, stews Kizzi Kitchener<\/strong> and Victoria SanJuan<\/strong> and deckhands Christian Trimino <\/strong>and Tessa Budd<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tOver the years, Bravo viewers have seen Below Deck Mediterranean cast members come and go \u2014 but not before they brought the drama to the small screen. The spinoff series, which premiered in 2016, seemingly found a permanent crew member in chief stew Hannah Ferrier. The Australia native appeared in five seasons of the hit [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cConsistency makes a better boat,\u201d Sandy told Us<\/em> about hoping to remain with some of the same crew season to season. \u201cYou\u2019re not always training people and they\u2019re not always finding their feet. But to be honest, every boat that we get every season is different. It\u2019s rare we get the same boat every season.\u201d<\/p>\n
