The FBI has arrested a man in Texas named Joshua Cole<\/strong> after he was accused of threatening to commit a shooting at a local pride event.<\/p>\n Cole created suspicion when he commented on a Facebook post that contained details about an upcoming pride event in Abilene, Texas, writing, \u201cfk their parade.\u201d He also said he wanted to \u201cpay them back for taking out Charlie Kirk<\/strong>,\u201d according to an affidavit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas on September 19, per CBS News<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n The post was written just nine days after Kirk was fatally shot<\/a> at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, at the age of 31.<\/p>\n While writing under the name of \u201cJay Dubya,\u201d Cole also allegedly wrote, \u201cThere\u2019s only like 30 of em we can send a clear message to the rest of them.\u201d<\/p>\n 25 People Are Dead After Drinking $1 Bottles of Vodka Laced With Methanol<\/a><\/p>\n Cole admitted he runs the Facebook account under the name \u201cJay Dubya\u201d when the Abilene Police Department made a traffic stop on him. He also admitted to being behind the comments, according to the criminal complaint viewed by CBS News<\/em>.<\/p>\n While speaking to the officers, Cole said he did not believe that the gay pride event should be allowed. However, he denied that he was going to shoot parade participants, per the documents.<\/p>\n Cole also admitted that he has a firearm, though it\u2019s not currently clear if he legally owns it.<\/p>\n \u201cThe threats were not conditional. The threats were specific,\u201d FBI Special Agent Samuel C. Venuti<\/strong> wrote in the affidavit, per CBS News<\/em>. \u201cThe threats were also specific to a particular set of victims: people participating in the gay pride parade tomorrow.
