Robert Irwin<\/strong><\/a> may be dazzling viewers with his impressive dance moves on Season 34 of Dancing With the Stars<\/em><\/a>, but fans can\u2019t help but wonder\u2014does the wildlife conservationist have a special someone cheering him on from the sidelines?<\/p>\n The 21-year-old has quickly become one of the standout performers this season alongside dance partner Witney Carson<\/strong>. But while he\u2019s been lighting up the ballroom, Robert recently confirmed that romance isn\u2019t currently part of his busy life. Speaking to E! News<\/em><\/a> after the September 23 episode, he revealed that he is, in fact, single.<\/p>\n \u201cI think more than anything else just genuine kindness,\u201d Robert shared when asked what he looks for in a partner. \u201cThat\u2019s so important, to surround yourself with people who are genuinely kind.\u201d<\/p>\n Of course, kindness isn\u2019t the only quality on Robert\u2019s wish list. The conservationist admitted that his adventurous lifestyle, which includes his work at the Australia Zoo, means he hopes to meet someone who can keep up. \u201cMy life is a whirlwind, it\u2019s an adventure. I would love to be able to share that with someone and to share those little moments,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n For now, Robert is taking a patient approach to love. \u201cIt\u2019s something you kind of can\u2019t rush. It just has to happen and you\u2019ve got to be open to that,\u201d he said. \u201cI know she\u2019s out there and I look forward to it.\u201d<\/p>\n Still, he\u2019s not navigating his love life completely solo. Carson revealed to E! News<\/em> that she and Robert\u2019s sister, Bindi Irwin<\/strong>, are playing matchmaker behind the scenes. \u201cSubmit your applications via DM and I will forward them to Bindi. Robert laughed, replying, \u201cI\u2019ve got another protective older sister now.\u201d<\/p>\n Robert also credits his family with shaping his perspective on relationships. In his People<\/em> cover story, he opened up about admiring the bond between his late father, Steve Irwin<\/strong>, and his mom, Terri<\/strong>. \u201cI look at my mom, I look at my dad and I\u2019m like, that\u2019s it. That\u2019s who I want to be. That\u2019s a perfect relationship,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n He also pointed out the sweet parallels between his parents\u2019 and sister\u2019s love stories. \u201cMy mom and dad met when she was this American tourist coming over to Australia, and that\u2019s also how my sister met her husband,\u201d Robert shared, referencing Bindi and her husband, Chandler Powell<\/strong>. With a laugh, he added, \u201cI\u2019ve been saying, when is that going to happen for me?! I\u2019m still waiting for it. That American tourist is not quite lined up.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
