Lupita Nyong\u2019o<\/strong><\/a> \u201cdoesn\u2019t mind\u201d rumours she dated Janelle Monae<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n The \u2018Black Panther\u2019 actress has addressed speculation she dated her close friend \u2013 who she first met at the 2014 Met Gala \u2013 and admitted she can see why the rumours started in the first place.<\/p>\n She told Rolling Stone magazine: \u201cShe has magnetism that they were obviously picking up on. She is that enigmatic.<\/p>\n \u201cI was not surprised. And I don\u2019t mind being associated with her in any capacity.\u201d<\/p>\n \u2018Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery\u2019 star Janelle came out as pansexual in 2018, while Lupita is currently dating boyfriend Selema Masekela.<\/p>\n She hailed his BFF as someone who is \u201cextremely gifted\u201d and instinctively draws people in on screen.<\/p>\n She added: \u201cShe\u2019s extremely gifted. It\u2019s built into her spirit. Her openness creates intimacy onscreen.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s really cool to see her move from one thing to another and do it with such mastery.\u201d<\/p>\n Their friendship goes back nine years to that night at the Met Gala, with Lupita having just won an Oscar for best supporting actress in recognition of her role in \u201912 Years A Slave\u2019.<\/p>\n She reflected: \u201cThis world is still extremely new to me and unbelievable.
