In a recent interview with The New York Times<\/a>, Oura Health CEO Tom Hale didn\u2019t discuss reports that the company is raising new funding<\/a> that would value the health-tracking ring maker at nearly $11 billion, but he did talk about whether he has ambitions to take Oura public.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve certainly hit the thresholds of size, trajectory, scale and growth,\u201d Hale said. \u201cWe could go public. Is that in our plans? It\u2019s certainly an option. And when the moment is right, we\u2019ll let everyone know.\u201d<\/p>\n Oura recently announced that it expects to generate $1 billion in revenue this year, doubling its revenue from 2024.<\/p>\n Hale was also asked about his own sleep habits (7.5 hours each night), as well as Oura\u2019s participation<\/a> in data-sharing programs initiated by the Trump administration. On the latter subject, Hale said the company is trying to help customers share their data when it\u2019s useful.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s not, \u2018Oh, I\u2019m now sharing my data with the Trump administration.\u2019 Like, no,\u201d he said. He added that \u201cthe privacy and security of your data is nonnegotiable,\u201d especially when \u201cit could be used in any way against you.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
