Madonna<\/a> tells Jay: \u201cYou need to be spiritual to be successful. Success is having a spiritual life, period. I wouldn\u2019t be here if I didn\u2019t have one.\u201d<\/p>\nThe seven-time Grammy award winner, known for her outspoken advocacy on human rights, added: \u201cWhat have I done for others? That’s really the only way you can be successful in life. It’s like the greatest amount of light is where there’s darkness and you can reveal the most amount of light. When you’re in a dark room, you turn on the light. When you’re in a room that’s already light, what do you, there’s no, um, effort made. So should we look for darkness?\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShe continued: \u201cMy soul’s purpose is to reveal light in the world through whatever I do. I want it all, but I want it for the sake of sharing, not to keep it for myself.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe podcast also features Eitan Yardeni, Madonna\u2019s longtime Kabbalah teacher. <\/p>\n
\nThe pair recently launched a new course titled The Mystical Studies of the Zohar. <\/p>\n
\nSpeaking to Jay, Madonna admitted she had once been vulnerable to outside judgment. <\/p>\n
\nShe added: \u201cI was once a slave or victim of other people\u2019s opinions of me. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI don\u2019t fit in, and not fitting in is what saves you.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nReflecting on her career highs and lows, she insisted spirituality has provided the foundation for her resilience. <\/p>\n
\nMadonna said: \u201cSpiritual wisdom is not helpful when everything’s going your way. It’s helpful when you’re challenged and when you’re happy.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt’s helpful to remember that at any given time, in any moment, it could be gone. So don’t take it for granted. Have humility.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cRadical acceptance is just accepting that what is happening to you is meant to happen to you \u2013 and that you\u2019re going to be okay.\u201d<\/p>\n
