Pete Davidson<\/strong> knows a thing or two about the fickle nature of celebrity. While appearing on Theo Von\u2019s<\/strong> podcast This Past Weekend,<\/em><\/a> the SNL<\/em> vet opened up about the negative side of being famous, using Eddington<\/em> star Pedro Pascal<\/strong> as a prime example of the unpredictable nature of fame and how people \u201ccan\u2019t wait\u201d to turn on their favorite stars.<\/p>\n Davidson highlighted Pascal\u2019s journey from struggling actor to internet heartthrob, and the public\u2019s subsequent reaction. \u201cFucking two years ago, he\u2019s a hardworking, great actor,\u201d Davidson said of Pascal. \u201cEveryone was, like, \u2018He\u2019s worked so hard and has been a struggling actor.\u2019 Fucking blows up so fucking hard. Everyone\u2019s, like, \u2018Daddy, daddy! Yeah, daddy, daddy.\u2019 Then a year later, he\u2019s in everything now because he\u2019s hot and big\u2014and everyone\u2019s, like, \u2018Go the fuck away, dude.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYou got to give someone time to adjust to that new level of fame,\u201d Davidson continued. \u201cHe\u2019s been banging at it for 30 years, and now he\u2019s learning how to go get a cup of coffee or, like, deal with someone that taps you on the shoulder while you have your earbuds in and freaks you out. You got to give that guy a fucking second to, like, adjust.\u201d<\/p>\n It sounds like Davidson is speaking from personal experience. The actor went from unknown comedian to overnight celebrity after being cast on Saturday Night Live<\/em> and engaging in high-profile relationships with stars like Ariana Grande,<\/strong><\/a> Kate Beckinsale<\/strong>, and Kim Kardashian.<\/strong><\/a> Now, the 31-year-old is expecting his first child<\/a> with his partner, model Elsie Hewitt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s, like, we build everybody up. It\u2019s, like, so fast to turn [on the celebrity],\u201d Davidson said.
