Why it’s great for ride-hailing:<\/strong> While you won’t earn bonus rewards on Uber or Lyft purchases, the Platinum Card is one of the best options out there for Uber perks.<\/p>\n

The highlight of those benefits is up to $200 in Uber Cash<\/a> to use annually (for U.S. services), which is broken down as up to $15 each month, plus an up to $20 bonus in December (up to $35 total for this month). Uber Cash will only be deposited into one Uber account when you add the Amex Platinum as a payment method and redeem with any Amex card.<\/p>\n

Once you’ve done that, the monthly Uber Cash will be loaded into your Uber account automatically at the beginning of each month. As an Amex Platinum cardmember, you’ll also get Uber VIP status, which allows you to request top-rated drivers in select cities.<\/p>\n

Just note that this Uber Cash doesn’t roll over from month to month, but it’s also valid for Uber Eats orders in the U.S. Be sure to use it before the last day of the month so it doesn’t go to waste.<\/p>\n

Plus, you’ll receive up to a $120 statement credit<\/a> that fully covers an auto-renewing $96 annual or $9.99 monthly membership to Uber One (enrollment required).<\/p>\n
