Rhea Durham<\/a> – admitted one of his kids has expressed an interest in following in his footsteps but when he asked the teenager if he wanted to audition to work with him on 2023’s Family Plan, the youngster declined so Mark has vowed not to “push” his offspring if he isn’t going to take his career seriously.<\/p>\nMark told US TV show Extra: “My son has mentioned it a couple of times, and then I actually asked him if he wanted to audition to play my son in Family Plan, and then he balked at that, and then we were doing the sequel, and he was like, \u2018Dad, I should have done that.’<\/p>\n
“I’m not going to push him, and if he’s not going to take it seriously, I’m not going to encourage it \u2026 If he’s giving me the same attitude about getting up for school as he’s giving me to get up to go to work, I can’t have that.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Play Dirty actor admitted all his kids find his career “pretty silly”.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cThey think it’s all pretty silly.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI’m just Dad\u2026 you know, silly, always willing to make fun of myself to make them laugh.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI’m shooting a movie right now in Boston, so they came to visit me there, which was a lot of fun.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nMark is known for his tough schedule, which includes getting up at 3am to workout, and he insisted the “discipline” he applies to himself has been hugely beneficial to his life and career.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cDiscipline has afforded me many wonderful things in my life. It’s a thing that I really attribute to all my success, both personally and professionally\u2026 I recommend it to everybody.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nMark shot his latest movie, Play Dirty, in Australia, and it was tough being “away from home” on the other side of the world for such a long stretch.<\/p>\n
\nHe recently told People magazine: “You know, it’s a difficult shoot a long time away from home, we shot in Australia. It’s very far away, missing family.”<\/p>\n
\nHis wife and kids did visit him during the shoot, and he insisted the “biggest sacrifice” is being away from his loved ones, while he can handle the physical demands of action movies at this stage in his career.<\/p>\n
\nHe explained: “I think that’s the biggest sacrifice, but you know, for me the action stuff is easy.<\/p>\n
\n“I’ve kind of I’ve done it all. I’m not worried about doing my own stunts. I’m more worried about bringing this character to life.”<\/p>\n
