Breaking her silence. Kim Kardashian<\/strong><\/a> made a rare comment about her former marriage ex-husband Kanye West<\/strong><\/a>, more than two years after filing for divorce<\/a>,<\/p>\n \u201cSometimes I feel like people think that if a relationship doesn\u2019t work out that it\u2019s a failure, but I don\u2019t really look at it like that 15 years together, 10 years. That\u2019s not a failure. That is so beautiful,\u201d Kim, 42, said\u00a0during\u00a0the Monday, May 22, \u201cOn Purpose with Jay Shetty<\/a>\u201d podcast. She also discussed her differences with Kanye, 45, while not using his name.<\/p>\n \u201cSomething I learned is that you cannot help people that don\u2019t want the help,\u201d Kim explained. \u201cYou can\u2019t force your beliefs and project that on someone that thinks something totally different.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYou can\u2019t really force things upon other people,\u201d the SKIMS founder<\/a> continued, adding, \u201cYou can\u2019t expect them to be where you\u2019re at [and] at your level.\u201d<\/p>\n Kim told listeners to focus on \u201calign[ment] in the same values and morals and things at your core.\u201d She shared, \u201cIt\u2019s OK to realize that this life is so short, and you should go and find the people that do align with what you really believe in.\u201d<\/p>\n After her split from Kanye, Kim went on to date comedian Pete Davidson<\/strong><\/a> for 10 months, amicably splitting in August 2022<\/a>. She\u2019s still optimistic about finding love again.<\/p>\n \u201cI think I will always be a hopeless romantic and always want to be in love and definitely love sharing my life with someone and love creating a life with someone,\u201d Kim said. \u201cI definitely will take my time,\u201d she added about finding a future boyfriend.<\/p>\n The entrepreneur said that she takes the four children<\/a> she shares with Kanye \u2014\u00a0 North, 9, Saint, 7, Chicago, 5, and Psalm, 4, \u2014 into account when it comes to allowing someone into her life.<\/p>\n \u201cI think there are so many factors especially when you have kids and being mindful of people that enter in your life,\u201d Kim explained. \u201cIf I can look at everything I did wrong and really not try to make the same mistakes and really take my time, I think it just has to be different for me.\u201d<\/p>\n Kim and Kanye began dating in April 2012, and married on May 24, 2014, in a castle outside Florence, Italy. The former couple split<\/a> in February 2021 and their divorce was finalized in 2022.<\/p>\n She opened up about why they split during the June 3, 2021, episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians<\/em><\/a>. She cried to her sisters, \u201cI honestly can\u2019t do this anymore. Why am I still in this, like, place where I\u2019m stuck for years? Like, he goes and moves to a different state<\/a>, every year, I have to be together so I can raise the kids, you know?\u201d<\/p>\n She then added that Kanye \u201cdeserves someone that can go support his every move, and go follow him all over the place, and move to Wyoming<\/a>.
