Hayden Panettiere<\/strong><\/a> shared a touching post to honor her late brother Jansen<\/strong><\/a> on what would have been his 31st birthday.<\/p>\n

The actress, 36, shared a photo of the siblings as children via Instagram<\/a> on Thursday, September 25 alongside an emotional caption.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy little brother Jansen would\u2019ve turned 31 today. He was a remarkable human being. He was wise beyond his years and operated at a higher spiritual level than anyone I\u2019ve ever met,\u201d the Heroes<\/em> alum wrote. \u201cHe was everything that is good and pure in this world. I miss him every single day but I know his spirit is always near, watching over and protecting me and my family. I love you to infinity and beyond J and we will be together again one day. #JansenPanettiere @jrpanettiere #littlebrothers\u201d<\/p>\n

Jansen died in 2023<\/a> from aortic valve complications from an enlarged heart. He was 28.<\/p>\n

This amazing human being touched the lives of so many. Especially mine,\u201d Hayden, 35, wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, February 19. \u201cThe pain isn\u2019t quantifiable.\u201d She added, \u201cI pray you\u2019re [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

His family released a statement<\/a> about his death in February 2023, confirming the cause and paying tribute to Jansen.<\/p>\n

\u201cThough it offers little solace, the Medical Examiner reported Jansen\u2019s sudden passing was due to cardiomegaly (enlarged heart), coupled with aortic valve complications,\u201d read a statement from Hayden, mother Lesley Vogel and father Skip Panettiere.<\/p>\n

The family continued: \u201cJansen\u2019s heart could be seen in his eyes, and his charm in his brilliant, engaging smile; his soul in his masterful and revealing paintings, and the joy of life in his dry wit. His charisma, warmth, compassion for others, and his creative spirit will live forever in our hearts and in the hearts of all whom he encountered.\u201d<\/p>\n

During an appearance on the Today<\/em> show in 2024, Hayden spoke about her grief, sharing that she was still processing her brother\u2019s death.<\/p>\n
