Sister Wives<\/em><\/a> star Kody Brown<\/strong><\/a> is the first to admit that his views on men vs. women might not be the most popular during his Special Forces<\/em><\/a> stint.<\/p>\n

After becoming a household name from his hit TLC series, Kody branched out by signing on<\/a> as a recruit for season 4 of Fox\u2019s Special Forces: World\u2019s Toughest Test<\/em>. There\u2019s now an even larger audience that will be introduced to Kody \u2014 who got his reality TV start documenting life as a Mormon and later a polygamist.<\/p>\n

Kody has been spiritually married to wife Robyn Brown<\/strong> since 2010. At the time, Kody was already married to Meri Brown<\/strong>, Janelle Brown and Christine Brown<\/strong>. He and Robyn legally wed in December 2014, and he adopted her three children from a prior marriage. (The couple share two children of their own, Solomon, 13, and Ariella, 9.)<\/p>\n

Kody\u2019s first three marriages didn\u2019t last and he is now only still together with Robyn. Christine, 53, announced their split in November<\/a> 2021, followed by Janelle, 56, who revealed in December 2022 that she and Kody had separated. Meri, 54, confirmed her split from Kody in January 2023.<\/p>\n

Despite the changes in his personal life, Kody was grateful that Robyn supported him on his Special Forces endeavor, which has already had Us<\/em> invested in just how far reality stars such as Kody are willing to push themselves.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen they called me about Special Forces<\/em>, I\u2019m telling my wife, and she\u2019s like, \u2018We\u2019re going to have to discuss this.\u2019 One month went by, another month, we never discussed it,\u201d he recalled exclusively to Us Weekly in September. \u201c[I\u2019m like], \u2018We\u2019re not going to discuss it, are we?\u2019 She says, \u2018I know you\u2019re going to do it. There\u2019s no way I can stop you.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Kody added: \u201cMaybe going was stupid, but it\u2019s the kind of challenge that you almost relish. It\u2019s like, in my age, the idea of having a purpose to get into the kind of shape you need to be for this was just marvelous. It was almost spiritual.\u201d<\/p>\n

After the experience, Robyn said she wanted to watch her husband<\/a> on screen. \u201cWe don\u2019t want to watch each other on television [but] she wants to watch me on Special Forces,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

Kody\u2019s attempt to test his strength as a man has also inspired some surprising sayings.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am going to say this at the risk of sounding sexist,\u201d he said in a September 2025 confessional. \u201cI think men want to be respected and women want to be loved. I don\u2019t care if you love me, but I care if you respect me.\u201d<\/p>\n
