From <strong>Jin<\/strong>\u2019s first enlistment in December 2022 to<strong> Suga<\/strong>\u2019s discharge in June 2025, the group\u2019s time in uniform clearly doubled as an opportunity to bulk up\u2014and fans are definitely noticing.<\/p>\n<p>The road to their reunion was a long one. <strong>J-Hope<\/strong> joined the military soon after Jin, with the rest of the members enlisting by the end of 2023. One by one\u2014and sometimes in pairs\u2014the bandmates were discharged, building anticipation for the moment all seven could return to music. That moment finally came on July 1, 2025, when BTS announced during a Weverse livestream that their first post-military album would arrive in spring 2026.<\/p>\n<p>But while fans wait for new music, another headline has emerged: BTS looks seriously ripped. The footage shows the BTS members powering through dumbbell hammer curls and machine work, all with serious focus\u2014and a little playful competition.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than focusing on a set number of reps, the members train to failure, a method that maximizes muscle growth. \u201cWhat I think they\u2019re doing a great job of is the movements they\u2019re doing are slow and controlled,\u201d celebrity trainer <strong>Kirk Myers<\/strong>, founder of Dogpound, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gq.com\/story\/how-bts-got-so-swole-according-to-an-expert-trainer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told <em>GQ<\/em><\/a>. \u201cThat\u2019s a very effective way to train\u2014and super effective for gains.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At one point, Ho instructs V to pause briefly at the top and bottom of each curl, eliminating momentum and making the move even harder.<\/p>\n<p>Myers, who has trained stars from <strong>Tom Holland<\/strong> to <strong>Taylor Swift<\/strong>, praised the group for sticking together in the gym. \u201cI also think it\u2019s great that they\u2019re working out as a group,\u201d he said. \u201cIt just adds that accountability, and it also makes it fun.
