America\u2019s Got Talent<\/i><\/a><\/span> has crowned a new winner for season 20.<\/p>\n

During the Wednesday, September 24, season finale of NBC\u2019s reality show, host Terry<\/strong> Crews<\/strong><\/span><\/a> announced singer Jessica Sanchez<\/strong><\/a> received the most votes from viewers and was named the $1 million champion.<\/p>\n

The singer, who is currently nine months pregnant, wowed the judges from her audition of \u201cBeautiful Things<\/a>\u201d by Benson Boone<\/strong>. For the finale, she delivered a powerful performance of Lady Gaga<\/strong> and Bruno Mars<\/strong>\u2018 \u201cDie With a Smile.\u201d As an added twist, Sanchez, 30, originally made it to the semifinals during season 1 of the show in 2006.<\/p>\n

\u201cLook at my life. I started when I was 10 years old on AGT, <\/em>and here I am 20 years later, and those 20 years were full a lot of highs and low lows,\u201d Sanchez exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> after the semifinals sponsored by\u00a0Lavazza. \u201cIt\u2019s been a struggle, but I believed in myself and kept pushing, and here I am now more blessed than ever. You just have to keep believing.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, September 23, 10 acts took to the stage at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, California, in hopes of wowing judges Simon Cowell<\/strong>, Sof\u00eda Vergara<\/strong>, Mel B<\/strong> and Howie Mandel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Although it was up to America to decide, the judges sang their praises for all the contestants who grew from their very first audition.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think everyone did good and everyone can walk away going, \u2018I couldn\u2019t give it anymore,\u2019\u201d Cowell, 65, shared with Us<\/i>\u00a0after the semifinals. \u201cEvery one of them had rehearsed and are better than weeks before. \u2026 It\u2019s up to America, and I\u2019m glad I\u2019m not doing it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Vergara, 53, added, \u201cI\u2019m very excited because we were expecting a celebration for the 20th anniversary, and this feels like a celebration because everybody stepped it up. Everybody put their best effort to make it a special season.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although Sanchez took home the top prize of $1 million, season 20 saw many memorable acts<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Chicago\u2019s Leo High School Choir, led by teacher Ms. LaDonna Hill<\/strong>, impressed audiences with their consistent passion and energy week after week.<\/p>\n
