Mekhi Phifer<\/strong><\/a> isn\u2019t playing Roman on High Potential<\/em> so how does his character Arthur fit into season 2?<\/p>\n

During the Tuesday, September 23, episode of the hit ABC series, Morgan (Kaitlin Olson<\/strong>) was shown a photo of the man (Phifer) everyone assumed was Roman. She confirmed it wasn\u2019t her ex, and Phifer\u2019s character ultimately turned up again<\/a> at the end where he told Morgan he was Roman\u2019s friend Arthur.<\/p>\n

High Potential<\/em> star Judy Reyes<\/strong> exclusively teased<\/a> to Us Weekl<\/em>y where Arthur\u2019s story goes from here, saying, \u201cWhat I will say is Arthur exposes a history that he\u2019s had with Morgan. He also reveals a friendship that he had with Roman as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

The hit ABC series, which premiered in September 2024, follows a high-potential intellectual named Morgan (Kaitlin Olson) who teams up with the LAPD to help solve murders. She gets paired up with Karadec (Daniel Sunjata), [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThe fact that he\u2019s not Roman also continues to raise questions for all of us,\u201d Reyes, 57, added. \u201cAs it continues to unfold, I suspect that we will continue to look for him. I thought that we\u2019d find him this season but we haven\u2019t [yet]. So I\u2019m excited to find out how the rest of the team is involved because now we incorporate Soto\u2019s team into the search for Roman.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cSo I\u2019m interested in seeing how it affects their story arcs and how they\u2019ve become engaged in helping Morgan find Ava\u2019s dad. We haven\u2019t found him \u2014 yet. So get excited because we haven\u2019t found him \u2026 yet.\u201d<\/p>\n

While pitching possible actors who should play Roman, Reyes threw Michael B. Jordan<\/strong>\u2018s name out there. High Potential<\/em> viewers already know that the mystery surrounding Roman\u2019s whereabouts has been explored since the show premiered.<\/p>\n

Executive producer and showrunner Todd Harthan previously teased a \u201cdeepening mystery\u201d<\/a> when it came to Roman.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think frustration is a good thing with an audience. It is a healthy frustration \u2014don\u2019t give them too much of what they want too soon,\u201d Harthan told Us in February. \u201cI\u2019d be totally lying if I said I have all the answers to that mystery. The wonderful thing about welcoming other brains to the room is how we make sure we don\u2019t fumble this ball and we tell this story in the most satisfying way imaginable. There\u2019s some cool stuff coming though.\u201d<\/p>\n
