After he portrayed Erik Menendez<\/strong> on Netflix\u2019s Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story<\/em>, Cooper Koch<\/strong> shared a message he received from Lyle Menendez<\/strong> during the Emmy Awards on Sunday, September 14.<\/p>\n \u201cHe said to me, \u2018For so many, what you brilliantly portrayed is their reality,\u2019\u201d Koch, 29, read from his message from Lyle, 57, while speaking to Entertainment Tonight<\/a><\/em> at the red carpet for the awards show. \u201c\u2018The goal is not accolades. The goal is to bring awareness. We are stronger together. Both Erik and Lyle were recently up for parole, though their requests were denied.<\/p>\n During the interview, Koch said that the decision was \u201cvery sad.\u201d He continued, \u201cBut it\u2019s very common for it to not go your way the first time, and they will have another chance sooner rather than later. So I\u2019m just continuing to keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best and send them lots of love.
